It works by severely drying out you sebaceous glands from the inside out. I never tried it personally. But know many people and clients that have.

My sister says its a very powerful med and to use birth control two forms.she said she wod wait five years to hve a kid cuz of possible birth defeats.she has cystic.acne.

Look up long term accutane effects. I saw soooo many complaints that people had to have back surgery or have joint pain. In the first week of using it, you get bad lower back pain. So I don't see why it wouldn't effect you when you're older.. Also when you're on it, you have to have blood drawn once a month to make sure you're not pregnant. If you are, you're child will have birth defects. Soo that makes me feel like maybe when you're off of it, what's to say you're child still wouldn't end up with birth defects? I'm definitely too scared to get on it! My doctor really wanted me to start it but reading the long term effects people complained about, really scared me. Just make sure to look that up! And look into it reeeeeally carefully! I heard that it certainly works, it's just, 10 years after you stop, who knows what problems you will have.. Take a lot of time to consider it! Just personally, I'm too scared to take it :/
