Hi, since the age of 7 I have washed my hair every day and I am now 18. Because of my job and how much time it takes I have my shower before I go to bed but once a day, I want to get back to every other day if not every 3rd day.
Is this possible now or will my hair just carry on producing this much oil forever?
I have purchased some dry shampoo so was hoping I could put that in every other day?
Any tips?
Thanks, Beth xx

Literally go cold turkey and stop washing your hair for a week. It will be gross, and greasy, but just brush it, don't do anything to it or it will produce even more. Buns and pony tails will be your best friend. After a week or two, wash your hair once or twice a week and it will produce less oil (less oil is being striped off). Hope that helps!

Try putting baby powder in your hair or baking soda it helps make your hair not greasy.

Yes, try a dry shampoo or baby powder! From my understanding, your hair is getting so greasy so quickly because you are stripping it of its natural oils by washing it every day (so it is trying to rehydrate it by replacing the oils). Once you give it some time to adjust, your hair will become greasy less often and it will look fresher longer. It worked for me-I used to have to wash daily, my hair was greasy within 12 hours and now I can wash my hair 2-3 times a week and it looks just as good =)
