Does proactive work? Yes. Is it a good product to use? No. proactive does work, it clears up your skin and prevents from break outs. But proactive contains chemicals that slow down the oils in your face. This is why it works. The down fall is as soon as you stop using it the oils that have accumulated in your pores will all come to the surface at once, resulting in worse acne than before. Which is why they designed the product like this, so you have to keep buying it from them. I would suggest a more natural approach, homemade mask work great or lush and arbone offer good products without harsh chemicals. Hope this helps :) xoxo

Natural is the way to go for acne treatments. Using Proactiv was my biggest mistake in high school. My acne cleared up when I was using the system, but as soon as I stopped using it I broke out like crazy.

And wouldn't change them at all and the best part you try before you buy.

HATED IT! Used it for over a year and never saw too much of a difference besides over drying my skin to a painful point. Not worth the money in my opinion

Walmart has their version of Proactiv...the real Proactiv didn't help me at all but the Walmart brand really cleared my skin up a lot.

For me, it made my skin so beautiful and then after awhile, made it worse then it was before. And that's because your skin gets used to the mild sacylic acid in it.

Worst experience ever. I have mild acne. At first my skin get dry but then I start to breakout pretty bad butI continue using it like 3 months (I persist because I thought that after the first month I will clear out for good) but continue to get worst so I quit.

It's not for everyone. It all depends on your type of skin. Personally, it worked for the first week and then made my face even worse!! Go to a dermatologist who can help you! Trust me, I waited so long to go to a dermatologist and when I finally went, he prescribed me a cream & a oral medication. I had moderate acne. Now it's lessen ALOT in just 2 weeks. Get someone who can take a look at your skin and decide what's best! Good luck! :)
