Try a strapless dress with the flared hips so you seem smaller. Personally I would rock your curves and ask an adult because they've done this before and knows what to do and not to do.

You should go to like a bridal gallery where they sell prom dresses , and have them fit your body type (:

A strapless dress can make your shoulders look wider but yeah rock the curves! What about a mermaid dress (fitted through the waist and flares at the knees)

Mermaid styles can really emphasize curves, but if you are worried about any problem areas you can wear spanx or a girdle underneath to smooth everything out. For my proms (I wore the same dress to both) I wore a waist nipper to make sure everything stayed in place. ;)
