you want to use a lighter shade of your choice on your lid and the same color darker where your eyeball meets with your eyebrow. i dont know if you have any palettes but go with your favorite color or browns, smokey eye or pink would be nice since your light skinned(:
if you need extra help u recommend the loreal 4 shade palette it has four colors to make a nice snokey eye and even a high light. and a demonstration in the back to be a guide. w e you do..make sure you blend the colors well with a seperate brush that has nothing in it and use a eye primer..it helps the colors not crease. if you dont want to get an expensive one i recomend elf eye primer which is awesome...for more bucks loreals decrease and high end urban decay prime potion (:

I am going to highlight my hair for the first time. Can you help me with choosing the right colour. I have long black hair and tanned(indian) complexion. I want a color that would look natural and beautiful on my long hair.
thanks:)

this is a nice simple way of doing it. i personally like using colors the way i told you. so you can understand better Ill tell how I use this pallete. the lighter gray #4 i use on my eye lid. #2 the dark gray I'll put where my eye ball meets sinks into my eye (that sounds weird lol) then the dark black #4 Ill dab into the end of my eye and put it almost half way but not all the way. kinda like a V not where your tear dust is the opposite side of your eye and the light white #3..thats the highlight you put that right below your eyebrow. and blend dear. hope I was helpful ((:
before you do all this though put eyeprimer trust me((:

SREE K. Hey! Awesome Highlights always adds an extra something to your hair(;
Luckily I have tanned skin and black hair as well so hopefully I can help.
I find that usually with long hair and tan skin what looks most natural and pretty is like dark brown highlight mixtures or even dark blond highlights...I like the brown highlights best but you can even do both but stick to those shades.
I'll post some examples for you<3
1st pick is dark blonde

What is your holy grail drugstore makeup item? I want an opinion from the pros!

I think this one would look awesome on your long black hair its just like #2 brown highlights EXCEPT the strands are more little where Tia Mowry on #2 has it more in chunks.
hope I helped! Post a pic when you do your hair, I'd lovee to see :D

MrsMeliStyles, Awesome I have layers as well. 3 all over my hair and layered hair is the most prettiest to style when you flare out your hair which I LOVE to do when I have an extra ten minutes. It's super easy when your use to curling your hair. I'n this case you'd need a curling wand, a 1 inch will do just fine. What you want to do is run it down your hair with the curved part of the barrel facing away but run it down your hair as you would straightening but when you reach the tip of the hair wrap the hair around once so the tip of the hair comes out flared out. If you do it correctly you should have hair like this. OH and the running it down is optional in case you want your hair to come out straight or you can leave it wavy and just curl the ends.

MrsMeliStyles, something we can all do without tools is braiding our hair in four parts, dutch braids look super pretty or a regular standard braid will do. Do this the night before sleep on it and the next day you'll have wavy beautiful hair. Also there's this product you can buy at CVS, that's where I always see it and it come in a powder form...you put that into your roots and shake the product into your hair and it will tease your hair and make it more voluminous.I can post a picture of it, if you'd like let me know. :D
Hope I was helpful!

Katie! here are just a few of the items that I love and use on a daily. if i recommend one thing you should look into its definitely the mascara! i bought mines waterproof cuz I go to church often and sometimes i cry lol but maybe the regular formula shouldnt be all too different. I have a full reviee of it on my reviews if you want me to review a specific item that you see in the picture just let me know and Ill do that for you.
sorry on the late reply i didnt see your question till now D:
ohh and CARMAX those lips every night. that is MY biggest secrets to not having gross chapped lips and cracked appearance when you use any lip product. when you wake up you just want to use your index finger and with warm water move back and fourth as if brushing, you wont believe how soft and smooth it leaves your lips. the femme is a blush in tuscan rose, an underdog mineral blush but so so SO natural looking ((;
if you want specific colors or cant see the product name, let me know!!!

lol :D
sock bun doesn't look good on me:P
I am a medical student so i need to keep my hair up when i am in hospital so i want a neat as well as cute updo:P
its hard to do a updo since i got long hair a lil above my waist. Its also got volume and is wavy so it never stays in place whenever i try an updo. I don't want to cut it either since its pretty when i let my hair down. Another annoying fact is that i have a long oval face so i can't pull my hair back because it makes my face look even more longer so I cut bangs upto level of my cheeks and do a side part to cover my forehead.

hope i am not troubling u with toooo many questions sorry! :)
