I agree - biotin is a good supplement that promotes healthy hair, skin, and nail growth. I currently get my biotin from my daily multivitamin. :]
Are you currently taking a biotin supplement and experiencing some negative side effects? I think if you take too much of certain vitamins and supplements, you may get less-than-desired results. For instance, Vitamin A is good for your hair and skin, but supposedly if you have too much Vitamin A in your diet, your hair can fall out and become very brittle.
With everything in life, moderation is key! So a little biotin won't hurt. Just don't go too much over the Daily Recommended Value. Hope this helps! :]

Before starting any new supplement, diet, exercise regime, or "home remedy" you should ALWAYS check with your doctor. Supplements can react with medications or each other, you might be taking too much of something and make yourself very ill, etc. If you can't see a physician, talk to your pharmacist and find out if whatever you are planning on taking conflicts with any medications.
