I prefer liquid eyeliner for my upper lashes and pencil for the waterline. Liquid eyeliner is not easy to apply it requires a bit practice, but it is worth.

Gel liner is the smoothest for me. Pencil seems to tug my top lids and my lashes don't seem to like working with liquid.

I prefer liquid pen applicators for eyeliner over the pencil and the liquid liner that has a brush applicator. I find its much easier to work with and is easier to make straight lines. Also, the applicator makes doing winged liner a piece of cake! I would recommend elf liquid eyeliner pens! They work great and are only $1, you can get them at target or elf.com
