I use both. At home I use a laura mercier loose translucent powder and I never leave my house without my chanel compact.

Thanks!! I was going to buy the loose powder from Chanel. I don't usually touch up. So maybe loose.

I have always been iffy about loose lowder but every day I move more and more towards loathing it. I just hate the packaging for most loose powders and that it is never quick to use. It looks different on than pressed powder. I like the MUFE HD powder but I hate the packaging and that it is so super fine it gets everywhere so easily and it is impossible to take for touch ups. I know some makeup professional will no make a point of telling me how it's not meant to be taken and used for touch ups and that I am missusung this blah blah blah. But that is the reason I don't use it anymore. I traded up for the nars light reflecting pressed powder.

I like pressed powder. However, I apply it with a powder brush.

If you are going to try a loose powder consider urban decays mineral powder....I LOVE it!!! It makes my face look flawless.

I wear bare minerals as foundation and I have their loose foundation and their ready pressed one. Honestly, if I had more time, I would put on the loose powder everyday, I like the finish better. However, the seamless finish on the Ready pressed one is great and convenient. So overall, I recommend the pressed!

I use both... Loose at home and pressed on the go...but I always throw away the puff that comes with the pressed powder and use my travel brush

I agree with tiffany. I tend to use loose at home and pressed on the go due to the mess of application. But i do tend to think that loose powder gives more coverage (:

I don't like loose because I feel like it's kinda outdated, the packaging is usually bulky and it tends to be messy..

The packaging has nothing to do with how the makeup looks on your face. If you buy items strictly based on the packaging you will be highly disappointed...I promise you that.
