What's a good way to get your hair nicely wavy? I've tried sleeping in a braid but it doesn't come out good. Any advice?

I was wondering the same thing, without heat. I've tried braids and buns but the result is unpredictable and weird usually...there has to be a way to make the waves more even without any kinks

Brianna's suggestion sounds great, blow drying a bit is fine, it is curling that I don't have time for...

Thanks brianna, I'll definitely try that

You can also try, damping your hair. Takes sections from the head, and just spray it again with water. The take a flexi-rod and just twirl a section of the hair on it. Keep them in for a hour, then take them out. And finally spray them with your favorite hairspray!

Try an inverted loose braid. The result is mostly mermaid waves:)

If your hair is too straight avoid using conditioner or oil

are you sure the braid doesn't work? If your hair is thick make 2 braids. Or even more if you need. and make sure it's wet. Then when you wake up if its still wet blow dry it with it still in a braid! But use heat protecting spray

If you have long hair, twisting your hair into a bun and letting it dry makes nice waves

Dampen your hair with a saltwater spray ( you can make one or buy one) braid it and leave for about 20 mins and it should work fine :)

I recently discovered this method by accident! You can start with your hair in a ponytail or just loose, and it doesn't matter if your hair is damp or dry.
Take a small section of hair and start twisting it. (I like alternating sizes to keep it looking natural). Keep twisting until it starts coiling in, then pin it against your head. Keep doing this with all of your hair(or just the top sections, if you want).
Make sure that you have a lot of bobby pins. If you find it uncomfortable to sleep with this hairstyle, you can follow the same steps, but just blow dry itt and spray a little hairspray before you undo it. Alternatively, you can just wait about 20 minutes while you get ready, the waves should be ready by then!

I usually do the braiding but they make "wavers." I know Ulta sells one!

I bought the Bed Head deep waver (only about 25 bucks from Amazon) and I love it! Leaves your hair so cute and wavy and doesn't take long at all! So worth it! :)
