Hi girls, I've had this little problem for a while now.
When I curl my eyelashes (which otherwise are almost straight), there's always a few that don't curl and just point downwards.
This is really annoying, especially when I put on my mascara as this makes it more apparent.
Is there something I can do to make them all curl more evenly? Is there any curling mascara that actually really curls?

Heat up the eyelash curler before you use it!

I've tried that, it does curl them really well but even though I curl from the base, there is always one or two that points downwards.
I'm also worried that excessive heat might damage them, is that possible?

Put mascara on and quickly before it dries curl your lashes. Them add another coat of mascara. Or use a mascara with a curved brush.

Won't that just take the mascara off and dirty my curler? Sorry if that sounds silly, but I have always curled my lashes before applying mascara for that reason.

I had the same problem but I read that you curl at the base then curl half way along your eyelashes and then the base again. It takes all of your eyelashes and gives them more volume too.

I have the same problem. Some of the hairs just won't curl, no matter what you do. I just pulled out that hair..

I would recommend too not curl your lashes if you are already wearing mascara it can break your lashes!

Thanks Eve I will just have to keep trying. I might not be curling from the base enough?
And thanks Yasmin that's what I thought (re curling with mascara on).

I used to heat up the eye lash curler with a blow dryer but be careful it can get very hot! Let it cool a bit and curl.. Then use curling mascara after and voila!

Use a heated eyelash curler. It has a switch on it and gets it to a safe temperature for the lashes. Not sure where you can get it internationally but feelunique.co.uk has one by Blinc.
