I want to go blonde at a salon and I have never gotten my hair colored professionally so I'm new to this. how much will it cost.? how do I tell them the right shade of blond I want to go.

They should show you some shades of blonde that you can choose from. If they don't have samples I wouldn't stay there. Also it'll be a little over 100 buck depending on how long, short, or thick you hair is. Good luck!

I'd say upwards of $300. I know I paid $300 for the salon I used to work at to bleach it (was already blonde), put a redken 12n and 12v high lift colour on it and a toner. And I got a 25% discount because I am a pervious employee.

Everyone charges different amounts, part of it will depend on location, length of hair, how many times she has to process it (I've had to have mine processed twice in a visit on multiple occasions, but lifting dye out is harder than lifting out natural color), and it will depend on how much that person or the place they work chooses to charge. The lady that does mine charges $75 for cut and color (she does a good job and gives me products to help repair it), but I know places that will charge $125+ for just bleach or color.

It all depends on your hair type, I go blonde through the summer and I prefer to highlight my hair once a month till it goes blonde! It's less damaging for the hair!
