I've heard about putting aspirin on face to cure acne, does anyone know more about it from experience?

I've never tried it but have you tried toothpaste or baking soda? I've tried both of those and my face is clearing up!

I've done toothpaste but not regularly & it didn't really do much!

Did you put it on overnight? If that doesn't work try baking soda 2 times a week! Mix baking soda and a little bit of water so it's kind of a paste like a mask!

Also don't use gel toothpaste it won't work. Or anything "whitening" it'll burn your skin

I have a friend that has done it but she said it didn't do to much and I wouldn't say it "cures" acne but it may help it!

Aspirin is made from salicylic acid somehow, so it helps.

It works. Aspirin is an acid, acetylsalicylic acid, it is an exfoliating agent. Also as an anti-inflammatory, it can reduce redness on your face. I used to do the aspirin mask once a week, made my skin baby soft.

Yeah I think it depends on each persons type of skin. So I guess I'll just have to try it & see if it works for me!

I've tried aspirin and honey. Felt fine but didn't continue using it so not sure if it really works or not.

I have never heard of this! do you just crush the aspirins and mix it up with lemon juice like a thick sort of mask? How long do you leave it on for? I am 48 next month and still have spots. Seems a bum deal to still have spots and get wrinkles too!

Here ladies, I knew I saw it one of my magazines :)

I will suggest not doing it everyday though because your skin does absorb some (I don't know how much exactly and I know it's not the same but you wouldn't be ingesting 3-5 aspirin pills everyday, that would do some damage on your liver). And be careful not to get it in your eyes or breathe it in, it gets powdery when it's dry.

I don't think it clears up acne, but it helps with the pain - it only works while it's on your face, though. Once I've washed it off, the pain returns. (Pain is a strong word - I'm sure you all know what I mean) :)

Yes it works if you crush it and mix it with water. It worked for me and I'm now acne free!

Yeah I don't really have pain so I hope it does help with clearing my face a little!
