I'm looking for a product to contour with! Something matte and dark enough to actually show up on my skin. I've been looking for matte face powders in darker shades but have found no success. at this point I'm desperate. high end or drugstore suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :)

Oh I've been looking for this post. I recently saw an ad for loreal true match and it gets very dark. I'd try amazon or a store with a huge selection but they usually have corresponding powders. There is a dept store brand that will mix a custom color at no charge.

Just checked - there is a true match powder. If that doesn't work for you I'd consider using eyeshadow. I use contour as eyeshadow all the time, I'm sure you could use eyeshadow as contour.

The matte bronzers from The Body Shop are great! You can build it up so you can decide if you want a lot of colour or not. I use it with the contour brush from Real Techniques, which is amazing! ;) (a little extra info ;))

This is something else to look into. Black women are 20-30% of the marketplace, it seems obvious to have some dedicated brands. The second one is also all natural ++ and comes in recyclable containers+. Please let us know how it works out. Your complexion is gorgeous!!

Cover Girl Queen collection bronzer is perfect for women of color. Also if all else fails, a face powder darker than you skin tone will work perfectly.

My dd lives butterflies so when I saw the photo I snagged it.
I just got a max factor pan. Cake. I thought it would b too dark (I'm paler than paper) when I tried it on my face it was perfect match. I think maybe find a dept store or a utla/sephora where you can try on different varieties. Contact black up and ask who they retail through in your area.

I love the too faced bronzers. They have a milk chocolate and a chocolate. I have milk chocolate but I'm very fair. You could always try a dark matte pressed powder a few shades darker than your natural skin tone.
