I am a bridesmaid at a wedding in August and as there are lots of events coming up before then I would like to get good quality make up products. Being from Indian ethnicity my skin tone is difficult to match. I have a yellow undertone and I have previously tried MAC, Dior, georgio armani, Lancome,Rimmel and Maybelline foundations.. none of which have the right effect or colour on my skin (combination, oily t-zone whist the rest of the face is dry). I'm looking for a full coverage foundation that has a satin effect rather than matte, can anyone suggest any other good brands or tips I could use for my skin tone? Also what lip and blush colours would you suggest to someone with warm undertones and tan/olive coloured skin.

for a yellow undertone, i strongly suggest visiting a bobbi brown counter. they have amazing color choices for people with more warm/golden/yellow tones in their skin.

Make Up For Ever HD foundation. They have a very wide range of colors all of which come in pink, yellow, or beige undertones. Check out my picture of the three foundation swatches, I have the MUFE HD foundation in 117 Marble which has yellow undertones so you can get an idea of how yellow the undertone is.

I've heard good review of MUFE HD but the problem is I'd only be able to order of online as there are no shops near by... I can't really risk guessing my colour. Bobbi brown seems really good which foundation would you suggest the cream ones or the liquids? I've never tried the cream foundation but have heard really positive things about it.

it really depends on your preference + skin type. i'm always for liquid foundation. cream foundations are helpful if you need heavy coverage and are usually better for dry skin(not the best for keeping matte for a long time).

My favorite is Laura Mercier Silk Creme foundation, has a luminous finish so if you are oily you may want to get the matte version. But it's full coverage, long-wear and beautiful on the skin!!! :) obviously though a great primer should go underneath, use a finishing powder and a setting spray!

For a yellow undertone, I STRONGLY suggest a Napoleon foundation, foundation stick, or pressed powder :) they work like magic, and stay all day, even with oily skin! :D

I highly recommend the Lock It foundation by Kat Von D, it is full coverage, feels amazing on the skin and photographs beautifully!! They have many shades with varying undertones! Definitely go to your local sephora and get a sample, see how you like it!

It is also perfect for oily skin because it has a more matte but natural finish. Love it!

I am pakistani and I find the same problem. The best foundations for olive yellow undertones is nars, Estée Lauder double wear, and Mac!

Omg! I just discovered Covergirl simplyageless foundation, the one in the pot! It is amazing! I have dry skin right now, but i think it would be great for all types! I may have to do a review on my beauty channel, graceandglamor! It's great!
