Any hair teasing tips? I never seem to get it right. (wtf) it seems like it should be easy and basic but my hair always ends up looking unnatural and completely trashy.

I use dry shampoo in my hair before teasing as it makes it more "gritty". freshly washed hair is a nightmare to tease. I usually leave a section on top and at the front straight and tease the sections around this so I have a slick layer to put over the teased section.

I have a tip...don't tease. You're combing your hair against the cuticle which will cause breakage and frizz in the long run. Master a good blow out and get some large rollers (or hot rollers). If you're looking for a good, stable "poof" with an updo, use styling wax.
