use brow powder or an eyeshadow (a shade lighter than your hair color) instead of pencil it will look less harsh or you could also try a tinted brow gel.

I use eye shadow slightly darker start with the outers of the brow and then do the inner so its not so dramatic and fake looking? kinda hard to explain on here lol

I use benefit browzings and light and they never turn out too dark, just filled in :) I suggest it

I use elf eyebrow gel and powder kit in medium.
there are also tons of awesome tutorials on YouTube. I used to fill my brows too dark and they looked so manly.
a good tip is use an angled brush and have a light hand. a little goes a long way. you don't want to color in the bald spot you want to stroke lightly.
