I really like the Rimmel London Fix & Perfect Primer! It claims to smooth, resurface, brighten, mattify, and protect! Honestly I just think it is a great moisturizer and base for makeup. It really keeps my foundation on most of the day! And it's only around $5!! Check out the reviews :)

I've tried the Maybelline Age Rewind face primer and it reminded me a bit of the Smashbox photoready(The texture. I've only had a sample of the Smashbox) but I overall thought it worked! I also hear the L'Oreal Perfecting base is good too!
