Sunscreen. it sounds obvious but if your scars are exposed to sunlight they will get darker. And along with the oils recommended above, look into body brushing. Among many other benefits, it exfoliates and stimulates skin regeneration :D

Try African black soap. It should clear up any pigmentation and marks.
