Hi can i use hairspray as a makeup setter

I'd only use it in a pinch. I don't think its something you should put on your face all the time. Elf has a setting spray if you're looking for something on the cheap side. Or I'm sure Sephora has a reasonably priced one (the Sephora brand, not just the store. they usually have moderately priced items that work just as well as the higher end ones they carry. Same with Ulta)

I think hairspray would feel sticky on your face and probably clog your pores.

I have done it a couple of times. My foundation stayed put all day, but my eyeshadow creased. Didn't clog my pores or have any ill-effects. Added bonus, it kept my eyebrows in place. Not sure about the effectiveness of different formulas (I used Suave stiff hold).

I can't imagine this is very good for either your skin or your eyes.

I use it sometimes, but I spray it a good distance away or walk through it! It won't clog your pores if you wash it off.
