I know a lot of people say this and you have probably heard it a million times but it REALLY works. Drink at least 64 oz. (8 glasses or 4 water bottles) of water a day. I kid you not, I had horrible acne problems but I have yet to have a new acne problem since I started drinking water. It won't happen over night, but if you drink lots of water and have a great skin care routine I promise you won't have problems. A lot of people take water for granted and just got for skin care products to fix acne which is a bad idea.

salicylic acid medication if its new. if its a recurring pimple that appears in the same spot, the bacterias under the skin.

I have been drinking nothing but water for over a month, and always use salicylic acid face wash. /:

Get a spot treatment with benzoyl peroxide in it. It's a pretty harsh chemical, but it really works to dry out pimples. especially the really deep painful ones. Only use it once a day, because it is so harsh. I use it at night, let it set and then put my night cream on top of it so my skin doesn't get too painfully dry.

Is it okay if I am using a salicylic acid wash & then try a benzoyl peroxide treatment ? They won't react weird with each other ?

No, they don't interact with each other that I've noticed. It might dry out your skin somewhat to use both, though.

Oh that's fine I can deal with dry skin easier than pimples! Thanks alot (:

I promise this works, it is also what I do: www.mariobadescu.com buy their drying creme. apply it on the inflamed bump before you go to bed, and the next morning it is gone. BOOM stress free. :) good luck girl.

Try milk of magnesia, it's a laxative (super cheap) but it does wonders as an acne face mask at night.

This is a weird trick but put a simple toothpaste on your pimple when you go to bed and you should see a significant difference when you wake up!

I agree with Megan k. I have used the toothpaste trick since I was a preteen and that has always been the best thing. but don't use it as an over all mask...stress can also play a big.role too.
