My skin (I think!!) has neutral undertones and I cannot seem to find a foundation that I love!
I tried the vein trick, and couldn't tell if my veins were green or blue! Also, I seem to "look good" in both silver and gold jewelry/accents, so I'm thinking I am pretty neutral!!
I want a light-medium coverage and a natural, semi-matte finish from a DRUGSTORE foundation.
I tried the Covergirl 3-in-1 Stay Fabulous and really liked it but couldn't find my shade!! The second darkest (Something ivory? was too light and Buff Beige too dark. In between Creamy Natural looked too pink??)
I have tried the Revlon Colorstay (too heavy for me, I like more light-medium coverage)
L'oreal True Match Lumi (my skin looked way too oily after use)
What would be a good match for me?? I want to stick to a liquid foundation (unless a mousse/cream is A-MAAZING!)
Any advice is would be SO much appreciated!! XO

I've heard that the Revlon Whipped foundation is amazing! You could try that one! (: Right now, I've been using the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream which is light coverage but amazing. I love it. Have you considered BB Cream? They aren't necessarily semi-matte finishes but I use the Rimmel London Stay matte Pressed Powder(Which I definitely recommend!!) and that helps make it look matte!

If the loreal true match lumi made you oily then the fit me by maybelline will turn you into a complete grease pit. Almay clear complexion foundation has a matte finish and can be worn in a light layer. Neutrogena healthy skin is good as well. I would give hard candy's foundation a try.

I like all the maybelline foundations because they are really easy to use! In my everyday I use teint miracle from Lancome, and that sounds exaclly like the 1# for you, its the money worth!

Loreal true match foundation is perfect. I used to use Clinique but I found that Loreal works soooo much better and plus its oil free so it will prevent breakouts. It also looks very natural. How foundation is supposed to look ha. They have all undertone choices along with blush and concealer that will match your skintone. Good luck!(:

Thank you for all your replies!! I currently use the Josie Maran tinted serum foundation for everyday and then Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme foundation for when I need extra coverage. Once I get the funds I will try more :)

I really like my Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation. They have a wide array of color choices, and we are totally on the same boat as for undertones. This foundation feels very light, but a little goes a long way. I like to combine mine with a little moisturizer for a light coverage, but my skin looks flawless afterward.

The best drugstore foundation that you can get under $5 is Rimel London clean finish matte. And you can find this in the makeup section at Walmart (;
