My first love had always been makeup but i started at a skincare school, which didn't have much focus on the makeup aspect as it did the skincare. But the first makeup competition i beat out all the professional makeup artist and camber in 1st =)

Try working with a cosmetics company and meeting people in the industry. Keep building your portfolio and do little jobs until more and more people notice your work.
