My skin is quite problematic. I have quite a bit of spots on my forehead. But other than that my skins fairly ok. I get oily on my chin and the sides of my face. What do you suggest as a skin care routine for me?

You should wash your face 2x morning and night with a deep cleaning cleanser, and one time in the middle of the day with a very gentle cleanser. Try to wear as little make up as possible (it tends to make your face more oily). Also make sure that you are using products for your type of skin. Hope this helps.

If you've got combination/oily skin, overcleansing your face will make it overproduce oil to compensate. Like Maxine, I don't recommend washing your face more than twice a day.
* Use a gentle cleanser.
* Exfoliate once a week. (Even oily skin needs to be exfoliated.)
* Toner. (optional; some people swear by it; others think it serves no purpose in their routine; if you want to use one, it's up to you.)
* Moisturizer.
* Spot treatment. (Lately I've been using La Roche-Posay's Effaclar Duo; I think it's excellent. I also like the Burt's Bees roll-on treatment.)
