Beauty Product Reviews | Page 2

First off, I'm not the most experienced with taking supplements besides generic multi-vitamins and biotin gummies. My bf who is a supplement junky, helped me look into the ingredients list and mentioned that Spirulina and Chlorella are known to be amazingly nutrient superfoods, so I decided to take a dive and try it! After trying out consistently for a full month, 2 pills in the morning and 2 pills at lunch, I did notice a few changes. The pills have a slight grass taste to it, so I typically follow right after with tea or before a meal.

My nails which were previously prone to chipping and breaking since I like to grow them out have become much stronger. This definitely worked better than the biotin gummies I've been taking. My hair is healthy for the most part so I didn't see any significant changes there.

I am someone who will always have snack breaks throughout the day, but within a week I found I was not craving any sweets as I usually do. And while this is not meant to take place of a probiotic, I felt it did help to regulate and detox. I didn't notice a change in energy level personally, but my co-worker who is also taking this mentioned this was one of the bigger changes for her.

I hope with continual use I'll be able to see more results with my skin, but wanted to share the differences I've noticed so far!

Clean and Moisturizing Scrub

I love trying out new cleansers, so of course I stumbled upon this one and was curious to see if this would stand out (especially seeing the price point). First impression was that it turns into a milky consistency with tiny beads which worked well for exfoliating without being too harsh. The wow-factor happened when I went to rinse off the scrub, and my skin felt super smooth and hydrated, almost as if I had just applied a moisturizer or lotion!

It was definitely a different feeling after using a cleanser, yet it did a great job leaving my skin feeling clean and moisturized, all in one step.

Lightweight Sun Protection

This has a clear gel texture, quite an interesting consistency for a sunscreen. Feels lightweight, silicone-y, and not tacky at all upon application and I feel like it can also take place of a primer since it feels so smooth on the skin.

What really intrigued me was the anti-oxidant skincare benefits, so this is definitely a great multi-tasking product which helps to justify the price tag.

Instant Black, Volume, and Length

The huge mascara wand was what first tempted me to try this, and I'm glad I did! This gives me instant intense black lashes, catches and separates for length and volume so is more dramatic than an everyday mascara.

I don't believe this is a waterproof formula, so I do have to prime my lashes first otherwise they will not stay curled throughout the day (normal for me if the formula is not waterproof). The formula is a bit on the dry end so there are a few clumps here and there, but I don't mind since it checks off everything else on my list for a mascara.

Moisture + Color

This is a very convenient crayon stick balm that makes application a breeze! Provides lots of moisture and a nice pop of color on the lips for days when my lips are chapped. The easiest no-brainer lip product to bring back color to my face when I can't bother with a liquid lipstick.

My favorite color is Warrior which is a deep berry color, but my go-to is Achiever for a more natural day.

Soft and Effortless Beachy Waves

This larger barrel size creates beautiful waves and volume rather than curls, so the overall look you get are soft beachy waves that look effortless. Big help for my stick straight volume-less hair and I don't have to worry about damaging my hair as much as other irons with frequent use because of the tourmaline. Heats up super quickly and has a swivel cord which are big pluses too!

Natural look with wispy ends

This gave me a nice enhanced natural eye look, great for day to day! The outer corner ends are very wispy and long, exactly what I was looking for to give me more elongated eyes.

I like the thin band at the base which was comfortable. I noticed the width of the lash band is a bit shorter compared to some Velour and Ardell lashes I've used (no need to trim which is great for my smaller eyes, but not so sure for those with larger eyes). Can't wait to try out more dramatic ones next!

Fluffy and Soft Blending Brush

This is the perfect round fluffy brush that is great for the base transition shade in the crease, or to finish off blending colors together for a seamless eye look without harsh lines. It is super soft for goat hair, I initially thought it was squirrel instead! This shape is not tapered so if you are wanting something with more precision, try Jishaku 7 or Wayne Goss 3 or 16.

Best Liquid Eye Formula

Stila did a great job perfecting this liquid eye formula! At first I was intimated to use a liquid, but with the applicator wand it is super easy and quick to use (apply directly to lid, or to back of hand first and use brush or fingertips to slowly build up). It does dry down quickly, so I suggest working with 1 eye at a time. Amazing color payoff, and it doesn't cake up like others I've tried. Also works surprisingly well with powder eyeshadow.

Sweet, Fruity, and Refreshing

If you are a fan of the signature Oribe scent from their hair products, you'll love this! Finally I can drench myself with this amazing scent without having to purposely touch up my hair. The scent lasts all day for me with just a few spritz. Sweet, fruity, has a warm base but is overall refreshing!
