2 broken palettes
Returned 1st palette as was broken and looked used. Got my replacement, WORSE than the first one. 4 completely broken crumbled shades as soon as I opened it. I was so excited and I’m completely upset this is terrible for the price point. Terrible regardless.
Not for me
I have Fair skin with slight pink undertones. I really really tried to make this palette work for me. Unfortunately, it just doesn't work on my pale skin. I do love the shades, but the "cool tones" only ended up looking muddy on me. Sad, because so many online videos make stunning eyeshadow looks. As far as some of the other shades in this palette, some seem to be really close in tone, just the formula is a bit different. If you love warm shades, and have Warm to Neutral skin, this palette will definitely work for you.
A staple in my collection
I have a ton of warm neutrals, but I find myself reaching for this one the most since I got it. The eyeshadows are smooth, silky, & blend very easily. The pigmentation is great, a little goes a long way so this palette will last a long time. I love that they included a black in it, it has just a hint of sheen so it goes on more smoothly than other black shadows, & doesn't have that patchy or 'sooty' feeling, but still functions as a matte when it's on the eye. The shade Sculpture at first I thought would be unflattering, but it's great for making warmer shades more neutral if you don't want a warmer look. There's enough variety of tones that I think this will work on any skin tone
Had high hopes, didn't work for me
I really looked forward to this palette. Biba is considered the holy grail of neutral palettes, but is not truly neutral. More of a warms natural. I tried to make this work, but all the colors/looks ended up the same on me. I think the problem is that all the warm, brown tone are too close to my medium/skin tone, so it just looks like my eyes are bruised and tired. The other reason I don't prefer this palette, is that I found I had to work to buff out the formula in Biba more than any other ND palette I own. It is nothing like the Lila palette or her steller mini or smaller 5 pan palettes. I think if one is lighter in skin tone or fairer than me (I'm a DIOR 3WO, Armani Luminous 6.5, Tom Ford Sable/Tawny), it will look great on you. This was $129 and for this price point, it better be a fantastic HG palette! I much prefer Viseart Neutral Mattes 01 & Neutral Mattes Milieu 12-pan palettes. Check Viseart mattes out, as they are so easy to put on, with little to no blending, and I find I grab for these Viseart palettes more to combine & complement other palettes in my collection.
My Favorite Palette!
This quickly became my favorite palette and the one i use every single day! All the shades go well together, and blend like a dream, it's really amazing! I think the packaging is nice, it's heavy and the shadows might move around in the pan because they are removable but I didnt face any issues, and the mirror is pretty big inside the palette.
