I am so so so so glad these powders were brought back. I had been using his Gossamer powders for a long time until they was discontinued a few years ago. When I saw that they were back.... I uttered a giddy little happy scream that kind of freaked my husband out(Most men just don't understand cosmetic giddiness.)
You may be asking yourself, "Are these powders worth $72 a pop?" My answer is 'They sure are.' What makes them worth the $$? Well, these are incredibly refined powders that are truly weightless and glide like the finest spun silk across the skin. If angels use powder in Heaven, this is what they would be using, and I'm positive Kevyn is up there handing it out. In my opinion, where these powders excel is in the fact that they brighten the skin up without it looking like there is a spec of product on the skin. People will notice your skin...not the makeup and wonder what your secret is.
These powders can be used to set your foundation or as a finishing powder. They can even be used on bare skin to blur fine lines and pores for a more radiant complexion. I personally like to use them as finishing powders. These powders are made with spherical silica particles which are small and narrow, thereby making the powder far easier to distribute across the surface of the skin while using less product, and the spherical polymers are what gives this powder that added silky texture.
Diaphanous is a very sheer light shade, and is suitable for all skin tones whereas Radiant Diaphanous is a warmer medium hue that will work on most skin tones. I personally like to mix them a bit when I'm looking to warm a complexion up just a bit. If you are a more mature lady or gent, these powders will take 5 years off your face, if you are still young and fortunate enough to have no visible pores and/or fine lines, this powder will make your skin look like it was hit with the Gaussian blur tool in Photoshop. These powders are truly worth their weight in gold, and I'm thrilled they are back in Kevyn's product lineup.
I bought this powder because I had read some rave reviews about it and really wanted to try something new. I have never written a review here before, but I felt I had to give a heads-up that the amount of product you get is very little. I started using mine in November, and by mid-January, it was already gone! I was quite shocked actually, and hadn't even realized as I was using it just how little actual powder was in the packaging. I suppose I could have researched that a bit more before purchasing, but I never expected I would need a new one after two months. I didn't even use it every day, and when I did, I would only use it once in the morning. I have had loose powders from other brands that have lasted me for over a year, so this to me, at a price of over $70 (!! *not including shipping to Europe), was definitely not worth the money at all.
I will add that the powder itself is very good and I did like it a lot. Like I said, I only used it once a day and then I was set, and rarely needed to re-apply. It blends very nicely and really evens everything out. Just know that you will be getting very little (3 grams to be exact) for your money.
I am so happy these came back; though I do believe they came back with less product (grams) for the price. These are some of the best finishing powders Ive ever used. They are silky smooth and give such a nice healthy, head turning, glow to the skin. People always want to know what Im wearing, when I wear these. Great as a setting powder, and I do use it occasionally to set under the eyes.

After looking at a TON of loose powders, I chose this one based on reviews, etc. I made the right choice by far. I've used plenty of loose powders but I love this one because it is SO fine, it makes my muddled complexion look amazing. I don't work; am home every day, but I have an uneven complexion and, after looking at BB and CC creams, I felt that if I was going to use one of those, I might as well just wear foundation! I found this powder and have been using it daily after my serums and moisturizer have had time to set. And it's like wearing a very very very light foundation! It's so smooth, the color--though it looks white, still lets the color of your skin come through and so fine--it does NOT settle into lines or wrinkles. It comes with a powder puff, which is what I use to apply it and it does a really great job of distributing the product. No brush needed. Also, the container is compact, which is fine because you don't need to use a lot of product each day. So I use this daily instead of foundation or other face make-up. Looks great and, of course, cleanses off easily with micellar water at days end. Take a leap of faith. You won't regret it!
My under eye has been is my main area of concern. I am always on the hunt for concealers and setting powders to brighten and smooth under eye. This powder instantly sets and perfects my concealer without drying. Doesn't accentuate any texture but really gives a soft look. Really wish I would have found this powder earlier!
