Most silky eyeshadow brush in my collection
Incredibly soft! I enjoy this brush for a wash of color on my eyes and targeted highlight. It's particularly nice for applying my TF cream shadows. You can get an entire eye look with this brush, including shadow liner. The extra long handle does deter my from using it occasionally and I don't like to travel with it for that reason. It's still an amazing brush, well made and worth the price.
Softest squirrel hair gives soft payoff i like something that can pick up pigments well and i tap off excess i like to take full control but this brush is just too soft and picks up less i still prefer goat hair brushes for laying colors. If you are born naturally heavy handed, get this brush if you are pro makeup artist like me then.. you may skip this brush it’s not high performing brush.
REALLY NICE EYE BRUSH
This is a really nice and super soft eye brush, good for details and lay down te shadows; l love the very soft bristle and it blends like a dream all eye shadows. However, the only thing l don't like is the white handle. Not for my taste. But overall, very good brush, no shedding.
5 stars for quality and versatility
This is my first Chikuhodo brush and I'm very happy with it. It's a somewhat fluffy natural haired paddle style brush that when looking at, you'd think it would be best used for laying down shadows all over the lid. It can and does work well for that, but I have found my favorite use for it to be creating a sharp angle at the outer corner of my eyes with darker matte shadows and for carving a precise crease that I want to keep lower than what my typical goat haired blending brushes allow for. It's amazing for people like me with almond shaped eyes or hooded eyes because you have so much control over where you place eyeshadow and how it blends the edges just enough but not too much. It can diffuse color over a wider space, but it would take more effort and time than just using a fluffier blending brush, so I stick to larger brushes for that purpose. I don't use intensely shimmery or foiled eyeshadows with it because the hair is so incredibly soft that it can tend to eat up those kinds of thicker eyeshadows and makes application a bit more tedious. For mattes though, it's amazing. I want to try more from the GSN line. I think the GSN-10 will be my next one. Love.
Definite must have.
I use this brush with my Natasha Denona shadows and it does a beautiful job at picking up her pressed pigments and laying them on the lid. Turning the brush at different angles it is also incredibly soft and can blend beautifully. Contemplating getting a second one. Definitely a must have, I use it daily.
Excelent
I kinda wish this handle was shorter... but it's an amazing brush. Super soft, a smaller and more precise Wayne Goss n.6 great for more detailed application. Sadly Chikuhodo does not have Goss prices so my collection will probably be very very small, but if this brand is within your budget, I'd say totally worth it.
