The French cult-classic cleansing water that started it all. Sensibio H2O is the 1st and only dermatological micellar water perfectly compatible with the skin: its fatty acid esters, the constituent elements of micelles, are similar to the phospholipids of the skin cell membranes and naturally help rebuild the skin's hydrolipidic film. Often spotted in top makeup artists’ kits, Bioderma Sensibio H2O (also known as Créaline H2O) is a no-rinse micellar water and makeup remover that gently cleanses makeup, dirt, and debris from the skin without stripping. With its soothing, hypoallergenic formula, it’s no wonder that a bottle of Bioderma is sold every five seconds around the world.
Sensitive to intolerant skin.
Soak a cotton pad with Bioderma and gently wipe to remove makeup from the face and eyes. Use a cotton swab dipped in Bioderma to clean up eyeliner and lipstick.
The Sensibio line of products is formulated for sensitive skin types. It is safe to use on all skin types as well. Sébium is formulated for oily skin types and Hydrabio is formulated for the dry or dehydrated skin.
I've been importing Sensibio products for years. I require a rinse-free cleanser that doesn't dry or break me out to help remove makeup before I put a motorcycle helmet on, and sometimes to clean my skin after a hot sweaty ride when removing my helmet, sometimes before work or going out. I can't stand getting makeup in my helmet as it's very hard to clean and a gross helmet is gross.
That said, I don't use Sensibio as a normal cleanser at the end of the day as I prefer to wash and rinse with water using another favorite cleanser.
I'm so happy Beautylish is now carrying this in the states! Hopefully there will also be more Bioderma products, there's a lot of great stuff. I love a few of their sunscreens too, but some of them contain Tinosorb which is not yet FDA approved in the USA (it is used safely in many other countries).
Beautylish, please carry the Sensibio wipes, too, please! They're much more convenient to use while out and about.
This isn't the best at removing mascara - but that's okay because I haven't found anything to break down mascara as easily as oils, however I love using it in conjunction with an oil!
So hear me out on how I use it; I apply Oil ( Avocado and Jojoba being my favorites ) on my eyes and let it soak for a bit. Oils do a wonderful job at breaking down the toughest mascaras. I gently wipe it off but what are you left with? Panda eyes! Usually it's a pain in the butt to find a way to gently remove the mess off your face, and I am a pure believer in removing make up 100% before washing your face. Plus, I'm a make up junkie with dry skin.. I don't want to cleanse twice. The Bioderma Sensibio H2O cleanser makes the clean up portion so simple! I simply pour a bit on a cotton pad, gently wipe my mess and I'm done! I'll add a bit more to wipe off any face make up and I'm good to go. This also makes for a clean and easy clean up when you're trying to perfect that cat eye. I find most, if not all make up removers push the make up all over the place but I was surprised that I only needed a swipe with my Q-Tip. Excellent product!
Recently launched at Beautylish in the U.S. with special package deals, this French pharmacy soap-free micellar cleanser is touted as skin soothing, fragrance free, and perfect for all skin types including sensitive. It is also stated that it removes face and eye makeup including water-resistant ones. I picked up one of the deals at Beautylish and thought I'd try it out. The product itself has the feel of a "soft water". The directions for use instruct to use on cotton pad and remove makeup/cleanse. You need to be careful dispensing the product onto the pad or coton ball as the consistency makes it dispense quickly - after all, you are pouring out a water.
First I attempted to remove the eye makeup I had been wearing all day. I saturated my cotton pad and wiped. Nothing. I repeated and a bit of my eyeshadow came off but nothing else. I repeated a third time with similar results. At this point I stopped as I did not want to aggressively rub the delicate eye tissue. Was I wearing waterproof makeup? Nope. The eye makeup it failed to remove was: Urban Decay eyeshadow primer, Stila shadows from the In the Garden palette, Stila Kajal eyeliner, and Armani Eyes to Kill mascara. I grabbed my cotton pad and my trusty Lancome Bifacil and in a quick swipe, the eye makeup was gone.
Next I attempted to remove my facial makeup. I followed the same process for usage and in 2 pads, my makeup was almost completely removed. A third pad completely removed the balance of my makeup. My skin was left clean and softened. (The makeup removed: Armani Master Fluid primer, Armani Luminous Silk foundation, Aramani Maestro Eraser concealer, Makeup For Ever HD powder, Korres blush/contour/highlighter.)
My takeaway from this test use, is that I would buy this product again for the ease of use for removing facial makeup and for the softened quality it left my skin. I would not depend on the product to remove eye makeup at all since it failed to remove eye makeup that was not water resistant, let alone waterproof. I liked the product's gentleness. I believe this would be a superb choice for either quick late-day makeup touch-ups or changes or for a quick correction during makeup application.
I bought my sensibo during the first launch and got two 500ml and a 250ml, and I ordered even more on the restock. This is an excellent makeup remover, leaves your skin feeling soft and 100% clean and not stripped or dry at all. I use it every morning and every night, and if I'm not wearing makeup I'll use it mid-day just to refresh my face. I have very sensitive combo skin and I'm prone to breakouts so I love having a product I can use as much as I want to keep my face clean with no dryness or irritation. I honestly think I could pour this straight into my eyes and have no irritation whatsoever. I've also definitely noticed less breakouts from using it daily in place of makeup wipes and sometimes even in place of a cleanser.
I waited to make this review until I fully finished a bottle. The 500ml lasted me about 7 weeks with pretty heavy use.
I'm super excited to see beautylish is now stocking the oily skin version of this now as well seeing as summer is coming up, but seeing as I currently have 4 back ups of the sensibo version sadly I don't know that I can justify purchasing it right now, but resisting is proving to be quite the challenge. Hahah
Bioderma is a magical formula! It has no scent, doesn't leave any residue and does a terrific job of removing even super tough makeup. You don't have to rub, just gently press a cotton pad soaked with Bioderma on whatever area you're trying to remove and wipe and it comes right off. It's great for sensitive skin and leaves your face feeling smooth and hydrated. I also discovered that it helps get makeup stains out of clothing—at least right after the stain happened. My new makeup remover love!
I am obsessed with this product and won't use any other type of makeup remover. If you ask me, this should be a staple for anyone that wears any makeup at all. This is a product that provides you with non-stripping yet complete makeup removal. For those of you who like the "double cleanse", Bioderma Sensibio H20 would be the ideal first product to use before you use your actual cleanser as opposed to a toner because it WILL NOT DRY OUT your skin! My skin feels refreshed and completely clean of makeup to the point where I feel like I might not actually even have to follow with a cleanser. You can actually just use this as your cleanser f you wanted to, especially if you have ultra sensitive skin. I also like to put a little bit of this on a microfiber mitt and clean up any eye makeup smudges or for complete eye makeup removal...works wonders! I It also will not irritate the eye area or make your eyes blood shot like some makeup removers do and does not leave any type of oily residue. The price is great as well for how long it lasts!
I love this!! This is my HG makeup remover. My skin is super sensitive(irritated to touch ) plus its normal-dry and this remover gently takes off all my makeup and eyemakeup (even waterproof).I definitely recommend this if you have sensitive,normal-dry skin like mine !
I finally bought this product after watching a lot of people on YouTube raving about it and I love it! Even though it does my remove my waterproof mascara and liners, it takes off everything else without leaving a ton of oil on my face. My skin is already oily and acne prone. I'll even use this when I didn't wear makeup but I just want my skin to be a little cleaner after a long day. I bought the travel size because I was unsure at first but I will be investing in a larger size soon.
This is a must have for everything! I use Bioderma 2x a day at least and it's my go to for makeup removal. I have been using Bioderma for over 5 years and stoked that Beautylish sells it.
I take Bioderma and spread it on a cotton pad and use it immediately after cleansing morning and night. In the morning it's useful to clean up any traces of stubborn eye makeup that might have been left from the night before. In the evening after cleansing, I use it to finish off my cleanse by making sure both foundation and eye makeup is completely removed. A large bottle lasts over 6 months, dare I say more than 10-12...with 2x a day use.
Alternative uses include fixing makeup mistakes, cleaning off makeup that might have transferred onto a shirt, or even taking off stubborn matte lip stains.
It's a cult product for a reason and worth every penny!
I've not been wearing makeup much lately now that I'm coming to the end of my pregnancy, especially because I don't have the energy to remove it at night. But when I used Bioderma to remove my eye makeup it was so easy - stubborn mascara came off easily without taking my eyelashes with it, and my skin didn't feel dry after. I also liked the fact that it was safe to use during pregnancy.
