My favorite paintpot

I love this paintpot, it is my favorite, it has a perfect creamy texture, does not dry out and provides a great base for any of my looks. would totally recommend it for any skin tone

can dry out a little

I really like my paint pots but I have an issue with painterly it has dried up, I can still use it but i have to warm it up between my fingers to properly use it. I have always store it upside down (recommended to prevent drying) I have never left it open after using and even close it right after using it to protect it, yet mine has dried out, I don't know if mine was from a bad batch or was too old or what because I do own other paintpots and they are still creamy. That is my only complaint about painterly. Otherwise it is a very nice base for my eyeshadow, I like using it on an everyday basis, I don't find it creases on me. I don't do my eye make up without it even if i don't need it to last long. i would only recommend painterly for fair to medium skintones, if you have medium to dark skin I would not recommend painterly because it can look ashy. I am NW20 and it pretty much matches my skin perfectly.

I always come back to this one

I love this product, love is an understatement. This is one of my holy grails. I have tried to venture out to other products and have always come back to this one. I have tried the g2b angel something spray, the chi one, l'oreal, garnier, john frieda, etc. and I have always returned to my trusty Tresemme. First of all the price is great, I like my hair but I don't want to be paying $15/$20 for a heat protectant, and if you go cheaper than that the results are not the greatest, so for the price of a drugstore product to perform like the "salon" products... I am very satisfied. Great product highly recommend it!

almost the perfect neutral palette

I did not give this product a 5 star rating, because I think it lacks another matte color, 2 matte eyeshadows in a palette of 12 seems very limited, but I gotta say no one makes shimmery/metallic eyeshadows like urban decay I think the quality and the pay off of their shimmery eyeshadows is EXCELLENT. This palette is great for the money, you get 12 colors that will take you from day to night from a very casual neutral look to a more out there intense look, an eyeliner (or a brush) and a mini primer potion. I think if you were only to count the eyeshadows individually it will set you back to at least $100 so the $40/$50 that this palette costs is totally justifiable. I think if you are starting out this is a great choice rather than building your own collection, because the colors in it flatter everyone (my friend who is a NC 42 has it and loves it and I am an NW20 and love it as well) and if you are a makeup fanatic this is even better for you because you can travel with this, take it on a weekend getaway and you will be set, and won't need any other makeup, not only that it gives you a base to start off building your collection. The packaging is great better than most urban decay palettes (I have a coupe of their book of shadows palette and they are too big and bulky) this is sleek and compact which makes it ideal. overall this is probably my favorite palette of all time, although I still wish it had at least one more matte shade.

Great foundation for sensitive skin

i have sensitive skin and i could not seem to find my perfect foundation, i have tried loads and loads at the expense of my poor skin on the search for my holy grail, well the closest i've gotten is this foundation. It took me a while to get the desired results and find the perfect way to use it, but I have now discovered it! At first I tried using my fingers to apply the foundation (I always try using every foundation with my fingers to get a feel for the texture and application), but I really don't like using my fingers so i went on a search for the perfect brush to apply it... i couldn't find one, i've tried regular foundation brushes, the sigma synthetic kabuki line, a mac 109, a stippling brush... name it i've probably tried it. Then when I almost had given up on this foundation (despite really wanting to love it) I found a blending sponge, it's from the brand Joe Fresh (sold at Canadian grocery stores) that reminded me of the beauty blender and was half the price so I picked it up (if you want to see my review on the sponge I have a video on it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESNY...) and decided to give it a go with my MUFE mat velvet + I had to give it a last chance, and alas I found a match made in heaven! it works wonders with this foundation. I have sensitive and dry skin and you are probably wondering why did I buy this foundation, well the ingredients list is what attracted me the most to it and when i finally tried it it did not disappoint; it did not break me out or cause any major irritation, so I that is why. Back to why I did not like it initially, well, it is a matifying foundation and with dry skin it used to settle very blotchy/patchy in my skin and give me this very dry look, but with a damp sponge (and applied with a stippling motion) this foundation sits on my skin beautifully. As far as the sponge if you can get the beauty blender i am assuming the results will be even better, if you are in Canada I would definitely recommend the Joe Fresh Premium Blending Sponge, and if you are in the States I know Sonia Kashuk (sold at Target) does a sponge which is a dupe for the Beauty Blender, so pick it up and give it a try. So if you have sensitive dry skin I can recommend this from my experience as far as being gentle on your skin.
