Glad I picked them up this time around.

I have regretted not purchasing these when they first came out 4 years ago so I’m glad Sonia listened to her costumers and brought them back. I now feel that I have a full travel set, but I think I’m going to be using them on a daily basis. I have the 2nd set as well. These are not only cute, but stylish as well. I’m now waiting for the mini Niji in the spring.

Wow, Chef’s Kiss

I won’t bore you with all the intricacies of the brush holder, as Sonia always does an incredible job on her <a class='textlink' href='http://sweetmakeuptemptations.com' rel='nofollow noopener' target='_blank'>sweetmakeuptemptations.com</a> website and also here on Beautilish. Just know this, I am ecstatic that I got the brush holder! This brush holder does not disappoint, the work is simply exquisite. I am noticing a trend in her brush holders; they are getting more and more intricate, probably take much longer to produce and the materials are more costly. I love the fact that it is art that is usable and that will be in my eyesight everyday. Thank you to Sonia G and all the artists for such a beautiful offering.

Gorgeous Maki-e Brush Set

I have all three maki-e sets. I really loved them, but I have to say this may be my favorite one. The white Canadian squirrel is just gorgeous. We’ve all have come to expect Sonia‘s brushes to be elegant and soft, still affordable in my opinion, and versatile. But, when I opened the box, I just couldn’t believe the exquisite presentation. From the pavlova box with ribbon to the rice paper to the brushes themselves. The Canadian squirrel is so soft and so elegant, I just can’t fully express how beautiful this set is. The price is definitely on point again, and I would encourage you to pick them up because they are art. The Japanese garden theme is beautiful, I couldn’t stop looking at all the exquisite details of the Maki-e. Almost want to keep them in pristine condition! May have to go for a second set. Thank you, Sonia, from the bottom of my heart for this set.

Beautiful, functional, and price on point

Well, to say that I disagree with Gabriel’s review is an understatement. He states “The flat pencil & the small builder are practically identical, just as the crease booster and the smooth blender”. Can’t you see it from the pictures that they are different? I received my brushes today and they are just as beautiful as I thought they were going to be. I don’t have heavily hooded eyes, but I’m in my late 50s. Yes I’ve tried them out, and although I prefer squirrel hair, these blushes blend beautifully. I didn’t experience any issues with the size of the brushes versus my eyes (? Lol), so I understand the comment regarding that….They are truly special, and I hope Sonia G and her team will not take to heart the negative comments. If those are not for you, that’s OK, move on. A simple not for me would’ve been sufficient . I will post a picture of these brushes next to the crane maki-e from a few months ago. I like that they become sort of a set. I’d like Sonia G to make some face brushes as well that would be fantastic. The price of these brushes are on point, as they are not mass produced. If price is an issue for you, there are some mass produced brushes you can buy. I buy Sonia brushes because I love fude, I prefer real hair brushes and therefore i expect paying more. After all, you have to pay for quality. Please do not listen to naysayers, make up your own opinion.

So fun and functional too!

I love the set! From the cool and groovy acrylic handles with the plants, to the dark green color of the synthetic hairs! This had to be part of my collection of brushes. Thanks so much for having them!

Just got them and love them!

These brushes are truly a work of art, in my opinion. The color, the size, the super softness of the squirrel hair, Sonya, G, and the artisans have really outdone themselves! They are big enough, but yet small enough for people with smaller hands, I just can’t get over the softness of these brushes. They are beautifully made and well balanced. The presentation with the box they can be kept in is just luxurious and do them justice. I have tried them already and I think those are gonna be some of my favorite brushes.

I wanted to put a review for the actual product, rather than the distribution. That is what the review is for. Thank you Sonia and team for this truly special offering.

Who knew I needed this one too?

I Purchased the soft concealer, and was debating whether I needed this one. I waited until I received the soft concealer and decided to get this one too. So glad I did! Although the soft concealer is great for under my eyes, this brush is also awesome for contouring, the nose area! Doesn’t disappoint and I do think you need to both brushes. The soft concealer is exactly what it is, softer and more pliable. The jumbo concealer is obviously larger and a tad firmer.

A must have for me

I use a thin under eye concealer, and this brush is great for that. Didn’t think I would need it, had to wait so long to finally grab one. Got it a few days ago. I’m really glad I did. It works perfectly under my sensitive eyes. The bristles do the job, but they are so soft.

Love this smaller handles

So I didn’t have the original handle one, but as I like everything mini, I decided to purchase this one along with the new buffer . I have to say, I really like it, putting on powder seems so much easier with this.. if you have your original sized one, unless you need a travel one, the bristles are the same size I’m told.
