Beauty Product Reviews

:\

This is essentially glitter in a spray bottle. It kind of reminded me of how popular face glitter was in the 90's/early 2000's. I was expecting more of like an iridescence, buuuut it's actually pretty sparkly. It's definitely not for me, but I know for those who are obsessed with getting that ultimate sparkle and shine...it's a product that you should check out.

Gorgeous!!

This nude is, well, brilliant! It has the perfect balance of beige and peachy-pink! It's a great everyday nude, with a natural, semi-matte finish. It's also incredibly comfortable and I think it will work on a lot of different skintones.

I will say that it is pretty expensive, especially in comparison with other natural-beauty lipsticks that are just as nice. I know that Kjaer Weis products have such a high price point, partly due to the fact that they have a refill system and amazing packaging; but even the refill is quite pricey. I'm still not sure if it is really worth it, buuuut I definitely do love it, and don't regret my purchase at all. :D

I LOVE IIIIIIIT!

I'm a huge RMS Beauty fan, and I love the Living Luminizer because it gives such a dewy, glowing sheen to the skin, as opposed to leaving you very sparkly or shimmery as it fades. The new Magic Luminizer is just as awesome! Golden undertoned ladies - REJOICE! This luminizer is gorgeous on my golden toned, medium-tan skin, although I think that, perhaps, just like the Living Luminizer still looks great on warmer skintones, the Magic Luminizer will probably be beautiful for cooler skintones, as well. I think it may add a little bit of warmth to the skin for those with cool-toned complexion. I think it's definitely worth a try...I know it is definitely a keeper for me!

Good, buuut...

I like this foundation okay, but it's definitely nowhere near as perfect for me as my trusty RMS Uncover Up. It has a pretty decent shade range, especially for a green beauty brand, and with the addition of the newer shades; and it has pretty full coverage - definitely more than I usually go for. Also, the way that it's a cream in a pot compact is great for using it for spot concealing. However, it does give a fairly matte finish, and has an almost dryer texture, so people with dry skin might not like this very much. I have to mix the shades Silken and Illusion to get my perfect shade. There is a shade in between the two that is said to be yellow toned, but it actually shows up very pink and unnatural on my very yellow skin. Aside from that, the packaging is very cute, although I'm not sure the product warrants the higher price point (at least not in my case). If you try to use natural beauty products, have oilier skin and need something mattifying and covering, I think you may enjoy this product. As for me, I'm going to use what I have, since it is still a relatively good product (and expensive), but I think I'll be sticking to my RMS Uncover Up in future. 1 = Illusion, 2 = Just Sheer (looks pink toned on me in person), 3= Silken

Pretty, but just not for me...

When I looked up pictures/videos of Natasha Denona's products, I was so excited to pick up a bottle of this Body Glow. I tend to like wearing really natural, simple makeup, and thought this might be nice to warm up and accentuate my skin - especially during the dull, wintery months when I get pretty pale for a Black girl lol I just wanted something that would subtly highlights my skin, and give some reflect and luminosity. However, when opened the product and swatched it on my arm, I was disappointed to find that there are fairly noticeable shimmer particles in it that gave a more shiny, almost sparkly finish, as opposed to just giving a glowy look. While I still think it's beautiful, and think this would look so amazing on so many other girls (especially those who are bolder, braver and more adventurous than I am when it comes to makeup), it just doesn't work for me. Luckily, I also ordered the Face Glow Cream Shimmer in 02 Medium, and it is EXACTLY what I was looking for. It has a gorgeous, soft, pearly/iridescent finish to it, and it is creamy and blends into the skin like a dream. I plan on picking the Face Glow Cream Shimmer in the other two shades, also (01 for when I get even paler this winter, and 03 to highlight and add a little warmth to my shoulders/collar bones, etc., as an alternative to the Body Glow). Sooo, basically, if you're a more outgoing girl, and you want a pretty, but bolder look, then this product (the Body Glow) is perfect for you; and if you prefer a more subtle glow, like me, I recommend maybe skipping this product, and opting for the Face Glow Cream Shimmer, instead. Whichever you choose, both are beautiful in their own right, and I look forward to trying out more things from the Natasha Denona line. ^.^

A bit on the orange side, but still a keeper for me!

This concealer has a very peachy/orangey quality to it, so if you're not into that, I'd probably steer clear of it. I don't use it as my main concealer, but instead, use it as a corrector (it has replaced my Bobbi Brown Corrector in Peach as an all-natural alternative), and then I use a little of my RMS Beauty Uncover Up to balance the peachy tones. It is very creamy, which I love, but I know not everyone is crazy about, and it's also not super opaque, so if your goal is heavy coverage, skip this product. Other than that, though, I love it, and will repurchase in future.

Best product from Anastasia, yet!

I loooove this stuff! It truly does last all day! And as long as you aren't heavy handed and use a spoolie to blend out, it give a very natural result that stays, even on a hot, sweaty day. I use Tarte's Volumizing Brow Powder in Medium Brown in the very front of my brows (it's a little lighter) and then this on the last two-thirds of my brows. Amazing! <3 [picture: blended out on the left, heavily swatched on the right]

Great

I use a little of this on my t-zone, and it keeps my combination skin shine free for the better part of the day, without leaving me looking powdery or cakey. The only thing I could even remotely complain about, is that the color is kind of dark for medium, even on my med-tan skin. However, since it's sheer, it's pretty easy to blend out, but I'm definitely considering picking it up in, "light" when I need to repurchase.

This stuff is the best, but...

This was my go to top coat for years. It's amazing, it dries quickly, and makes polish last for so long, but unfortunately, I had to switch over from it to a Deborah Lippman fast dry top coat, because I found out that this polish has some pretty bad ingredients in it. I was soo disappointed. While ingredients are a deal breaker for me, for those who don't mind, it's definitely phenomenal at doing what it was made to do!

I love this powder! I have combination skin, and I prefer minimal coverage, so I tend to opt for powders. I have tried ALOT of powders, and this is the best! It doesn't leave that cakey, powdery look that many leave, not does it cling to any bit of dryness on your skin. This powder is sheer, and leaves a very natural, demi-matte finish, and the shade I use is spot on! If you have a med to tan skintone, like me, then Honey Beige should be a perfect match, especially if your skin's undertones lean more to the golden side of the spectrum. The only two things that aren't the greatest about this product are that the shade range is so limited, so if you're any darker than med to tan, you're out of luck; and secondly, it isn't the best for oil control, so if you have oily skin, it's probably not the best choice for you. I can just barely get away with it with my combination skin, only needing to blot once, halfway through the day, but it's worth it, to me, to achieve such a natural look. Otherwise, excellent powder from an excellent natural brand!
