Holy Grail under-eye Concealer/ColorCorrector

This brush is amazing and I use it every single day to color correct and/or do my concealer. I have to respectfully disagree with the one star review left for this incredible brush- I use it for applying liquid and cream around my eye area precisely because it is so insanely soft. It’s dense but still quite flexible and gently glides over the contours of my eye area. Personally, I feel that while you could use it for cream eyeshadow, or something like that, this brush probably belonged in the fusion face series instead. It is all of the things I wish that the fusion face series jumbo concealer was Now THAT brush is WAY more squared off, not quite as long of bristles and definitely way more firm and less appropriate for under-eye use. I purchased a second one shortly after getting the first one because I realized I loved it so much and because compared to the jumbo concealer, it has held up under daily use and regular washing much much much better. The jumbo concealer actually has had breakage from washing and some bent tips on the synthetic strands VS this beautiful thing that has held up like a champ (I think because it has a slightly more tapered shape instead of the blunt and squared off jumbo concealer. In any case, I find it extreme, and quite an exaggeration for someone to go beyond preferring A different tool for under-eye , but to actually rate this as one star? That’s hyperbole. You can find more than even just one use for this tool that it is excellently equipped for even if your personal preference is not to use it for what you thought you would use it for. It’s one of my favorite brushes from the fusion series. It’s one of my favorites brushes and it’s also just one of my favorite concealer brushes I’ve ever used. I’m confident that anyone with a medium or medium-advanced skill level will quickly and competently find the technique to apply concealer without having to pull and tug at your skin using this brush.

As amazing as I remember it

Been a long time since purchasing this foundation. I remember the first time years ago I was nearing the end of summer and the shade was just passed the point of matching me as my tan had fully set in. Because of that, I didn’t appreciate or even pay attention to whether it was a good complexion product. Several months later- the following February or so- my skin had lightened again so I pulled this out and I tried. AMAZED.

This was the first “high-end” foundation I ever gave a try. Glad I had the delay though- I had sampled several other mid range formulas so when I got Kevyn Aucoin back in my routine I could genuinely notice and *see* the difference.

The finish is beautiful. It’s luminous and that’s the only word I can think of to describe it. Not shimmery or anything like that- just not flat or drab in the way many inexpensive formulas are. It looks like healthy skin and with an ethereal medium coverage as the name says. It’s also buildable without losing its gentility.

This product is what I use as my standard of comparison for all luxe and higher end formulas from now on. I’ve tried many many other great-reviewed foundations since discovering this years ago but now that I’ve come back to try this again- it is as amazing to me as I remember. It refreshes my memory as a standard and I recall instantly that something extra I see in this formula that made me fall in love.

I won’t try convincing you this one is the best or better than your favorite, but I’ll say if you want a medium (super)natural matte finish-try it and you will not be disappointed

Does great work but clunky handle

This brush definitely works exactly as described is great at picking up pigment for packing on color especially glitter and shimmery pigments which are especially tricky. However, the handle is ridiculously thick and it does not slim down enough near the head of the brush so when you dip your bristles into a shadow often times the tip of the handle scrapes against the product in the pan. The bristles are so short that I’m order to coat them you have to put the edge of the base/handle within a millimeter of the pan. This creates a mess and wastes product. Huge oversight.

Otherwise it’s an excellent performing brush. Though it’s also tough to wash bristles and not let water reach the ferrule.

Not as good quality shadow as Blood Sugar

I dk if I got a bad batch or if this one just proves blue shadows are more difficult to make. I don’t hate on makeup and I don’t leave negative reviews hardly ever but this palette didn’t perform the way it should. Some of the mattes just do not build up on the lid or they blend like chalk and kind of dust away. That’s not JSC standards. I’ve never seen his products do that. It wasn’t every shade at all but enough of them that i was left... let down.
