Still Learning How to Maximize its Use

This is one of my 2 very first Sonia G. brushes. After hesitating for a long time, I’ve gone ahead and started using natural bristle makeup brushes. I’ve been using this to apply my metallic, glitter and celestial shades. This definitely is much better and precise than my pinky finger.

Does great work but clunky handle

This brush definitely works exactly as described is great at picking up pigment for packing on color especially glitter and shimmery pigments which are especially tricky. However, the handle is ridiculously thick and it does not slim down enough near the head of the brush so when you dip your bristles into a shadow often times the tip of the handle scrapes against the product in the pan. The bristles are so short that I’m order to coat them you have to put the edge of the base/handle within a millimeter of the pan. This creates a mess and wastes product. Huge oversight.

Otherwise it’s an excellent performing brush. Though it’s also tough to wash bristles and not let water reach the ferrule.

A must!

Picks up and lays down foils and metallics like no other, and with near zero fallout. Zig-zag brush for optimal pick-up. Wasn't sure what I was going to think of the thick handle, but once I used it -- I loved it. I'm getting another!

Awesome brush!

I love this for applying product right where I want it. Incredibly soft hairs hold product with out falling. The handle is substantial yet not heavy. Perfectly balanced.

Does the job

I am not sure it works better than other brushes for difficult shadows but it works well for normal shadows.

As it is small it is more precise than builder 2 or 3 or pro or soft shader.

Not the first brush to buy if you have zero Sonia's brush but still useful.

The thick ferrule is not a problem and the thick handle is cool.

Finally, I can agree with everyone!

Super soft bristles, yet it's able to pick up my destroyed Natasha Denona tropic palette eyeshadow that is infamously hard to use since she changed the formula of her $125 eyeshadow palettes.

Her glitter and shimmer shades (colorful ones on the bottom rows) are completely unusable but with this Sonia G and Koyudo eyeshadow brushes, I am miraculously able to pick up pigment from the unusable/ damaged eyeshadow pans and use them normally.

The brush head is super soft yet firm enough to line eyes (not ultra-fine lining) and hardy enough to pick up the finest eyeshadow powder/ creams.

The handle is perfect, long, solid-wood and beautiful in a sophisticated red.

This brush is worth every penny!

Excellent

So much has already been said about this brush so I won’t be a broken record. For me this works amazingly with glitter or metallic pigments both with the amount of product it picks up as well as how well it deposits that product. It applies better than the finger method because it is able to be very precise and easily build the intensity with little to no fallout. It handles the glitter/shimmer heavy shades in my Pat McGRATH Mothership V palette with ease and allows the actual base color of the pigment shine almost as much as the glitter/shimmer.

I’ve seen the mentions of the handle being super thick and yes it is. Does take a little getting used to but it’s really not an application hinderance as much as a “my other brushes aren’t like this so it feels wrong” thing. As for the complaints about the feral...honestly if you’re managing to touch the feral to your eyelid during application you need to adjust the angle that you’re using to apply. It will help out a lot. I know for some that probably sounds like more work than you should have to do but if you are used to using a variety of makeup brushes (not just mainstream popular lines) you may realize that technique is different often. Not everyone will love this brush and that’s fine, but definitely try some of the suggestions before really deciding if it’s just not for you. You may be surprised

Another perfect brush from Sonia G!

I love all of her brushes that I have, and all of her builder brushes work amazing with metallics and shimmers, but this one is my favorite due to the density and shape. So glad I was able to pick it up when it came back in stock to add to my Sonia G eyebrush collection.

I like it ALOT but not a love like a few other Sonia G Brushes

Great brush that deposits pigment where you want it. I don't reach for this brush all that often...but when I need more intense placement of shadow, this brush does the job. Me likey :)
