color is pretty
This looks so cool and very creative about the way they did it making it look as if it were nail polish BUT when you apply it to your skin I get a warm effect like it's irritating my skin...I still have it and use it time to time but because of the chemicals it just sits in my makeup box waiting to be used. The BEST shimmer I ever purchased was through MAC but it was a limited mineral powder/shimmer that came out in 08 and very sad they don't sell the shimmer seperately because I used it for anything and everything and it was PERFECT! Still haven't found anything like it =(
UPDATE: 3/8/13 the shimmer that's darn near close is MAC soft and gentle =D
not my fav
I like mascara that thickens your lashes because mine are already long but too thin and I stopped using drugstore brands a long time ago. I started using high end mascara but because I am more picky about the ingredients in my products I then switched to organic mascaras and my lashes look better than they ever did making the switch! Right now I am using Pur Minerals. This mascara didn't cut it for me before I even did research on ingredients in the first place.
the blending is outrageous!
I LOVE the way these shadows blend effortlessly onto ur lids/eyes! I've tried using MAC with other makeup brushes and it isn't the same as if you were to use a MAC brush...or maybe it's just me lol
This lasts long!
I love OPI but there are lots of chemicals in nail polishes that you must beware of...it should contain NO: Formaldehyde or formalin, hardeners, toluene, dibutyl phthalate (DBP), and if your prego then just skip the polish! Hope this helps = D
very pretty and nicely pigmented
these sticks are VERY pigmented but due to high content of lead in lipsticks I tend to lean more toward organic lipstick but I put this on here and there but not as much as I use to. The staying power is excellent and the texture is so smooth and velvety and makes your lips feel nice and I believe there is something that moisturizes because it feels very moisturized while I'm wearing it.
3/8/13 I LOVE MAC lipsticks! Shiseido is also very moisturizing! I am in love with lady danger, angel, and creme d'nude for that perfect nude lip. Make sure you know your finishes (matte, cremesheen, etc) matte last a long time but tends to dry so make sure your lips are well moisturized and cremesheen has moisture in it, almost that of a chapstick. Just an FYI.
CLOSE BUT NO CIGAR
I love this color! I also have blackground and painterly but I use most of this..since I became more aware of chemicals and toxins in cosmetics through <a href='http://cosmeticdatabase.com' rel='nofollow' target='_blank'>cosmeticdatabase.com</a> (<a href='http://EWG.ORG' rel='nofollow' target='_blank'>EWG.ORG</a>) and I became more skeptical about using certain products due to my research. It sucks for me because I LOVE MAKEUP so much but I don't use as much of it anymore and still continue on the journey to safe cosmetics =) anywhoo..this primer stays and when I say stays....IT STAYS PUT! eyeshadow looks fab with this..actually even better and sometimes I even forget I'm wearing eyeshadow and sometimes I rub my eye (which I've done more than 3 times already =/) and it still stays put even though some makeup comes off, it's still magically there. Bare study can be your everyday go to look and I use blackground for smokey eyes and only apply to my lid and part of my crease. Last but not least I use painterly for pin-up looks or for a more natural look but if you are dark then do not use. Painterly looks good for bridal as well =)
quick go-to primer on-the-go
This is a good primer but I like the MAC paint pots better. very smooth feeling and GREAT with UD eyeshadows...seems like brand name products work better with their own makeup lines. For example, the MAC paint pots work well with MAC shadows the best and their MAC brushes work even better on MAC products but when i use them with other products they don't pick up the same and I find this with almost alot of brands. Back to the primer, it is GOOD! =P
