How much more black could matte black get? Answer: none more black.

Smell the glove! This is some black, black. Wow. It makes my other black shadows look like grays in comparison. Terrific for tightlining, with no fallout. The pan is HUGE. Half again as big as the pan it is replacing (a discontinued aveda black that couldn't take getting a drop of saline on it) at half the price. I ordered it based soley on the fact that the pan was square so that it could go into my aveda compact. But it's too big. Oh well, I'm just going to get a small freedom palette because they aren't too expensive. Until then it is clinging to the outside of my aveda compact like a barnacle. A big black, heavily-pigmented barnacle.

Stubborn make up just floats away like nothing! Amazing!

Wow, this stuff really cleans brushes well. I like to clean my foundation/concealer brushes after every time I use them because I use BB creams and creme concealers which make the brush feel greasy on the skin when they are dirty. My big fluffy stipling brush cleaned a lot more quickly with the spray bottle and it dried in minutes instead of overnight. I think for a deep clean that brush would take longer. Make sure you read the directions on Beautylish about how to use this product because the packaging is a bit vague. I thought I was supposed to dump the jar after using, but you can keep using the same liquid and the netting keeps the pigment trapped at the bottom. When I dumped the jar it left an oily film in my sink that I had to scrub out. But compared to scrubbing after shampooing my brushes it was nothing. It smells just like citrasolve, which is something I use to clean my bathroom anyway. It does linger a bit, but if you run the bathroom fan it will disperse. I couldn't believe how quickly this got my smudge brush clean, and the cheap concealer brush I was going to throw away was actually saved because I finally got all the sticky cream concealer out of it. Hooray for Parian spirit. I love the retro packaging. I feel like I'm in the 1920s theater or something with this stuff.

Tiniest brush in my collection packs the biggest punch

I was really surprised at how small this brush is. The handle is short as well, a bit bigger than a travel sized brush. That might be a problem for some people, especially if you are working on someone else and want to get in tight. I hunted high and low looking for an appropriate flat push brush to do tighlining. They were all too fat, too long, too thick, not stick enough or too stiff. This one is absolutely perfect and as far as I know, there is no dupe for it anywhere. So if you want to tightline you really need this. At $17 it's the most expensive brush in my collection, but unless I loose it, I can't see needing another. It works great for detail work on the brows as well, so after you tightline you can use the leftover product on the brush to give your brows a darker, natural look. The brush is so small that you barely use any product. One swipe through my inglot black eyeshadow and I had enough to tightline one lid and do detail on one brow. I wouldn't say tightlining is exactly easy with this brush, but it certainly is easier than it was without the brush. The brush is nice quality and it came wrapped up in brown paper and string three days after I placed my order. I'm a wayne goss fan already. Totally a beautylish groupie now.
