NOTHING SPECIAL

I received one of these lipsticks as a gift with purchase and was very happy about it. The color i got is 58 Audace, which is a beautiful slightly darker red. It applies nicely and is well pigmented, but is very drying on my lips, perhaps because of the matte finish. It's not very creamy and I simply found that it did not perform well. All in all, there are much cheaper and better lipsticks out there.

SO PRETTY!

The shade that I bought is called Illusoire (it's a purplish dark grey with just a hint of taupe). It's very flattering and I mostly use it on its own to create a soft smokey eye. The application is very easy because the eye shadow simply glides on the lids and the brush that is included is good for packing the color, but not so much for blending. The glitter is gorgeous and since this is a cream, there is absolutely no fallout. The price is very high and although these colors are stunning and full of pretty shimmer, I do believe that something similar could be found for a lower price.

EXCELLENT COVERAGE

I like this foundation because it gives very good coverage, but doesn't feel heavy. it can look somewhat cakey, especially when applied with a flat top brush, but otherwise i love it. it keeps my face matte (not so much in the summer, but my skin is too oily for that) and is long lasting, it doesn't melt off my face when the oilies break through. the shade selection is not very good. i have it in 02 fresh ivory and it's a little too pink for me (my undertone leans slightly yellow), but 03 is too dark. i don't think i'll repurchase this again solely due to the lack of right colour for my skintone

this balm has been recently reformulated and it's now called lipikar baume AP. the quality is still incredibly high as it nourishes the skin so well, it stops itching and is overall the best body moisturizer i've ever used. it does take some time for it to sink into the skin, but it's worth it. the effects are felt more than 24 hours after application, the skin is smoother and softer. i cannot praise this enough. the problem is that it stinks a bit. it contains no perfumes to disguise the scent of other ingredients and it's a bit annoying, but i get rid of this by putting a few drops of essentail oils into it (3-4 drops are enough for my whole body)

NOT WORTH IT

at first sight, it seems like a gift sent form the heavens. the scent is beautiful, it seems to nourish the skin so well, but after 4-5 hours, i realize it had no special effect on me. upon application, it's great, but its effects wear off very fast, and the skin on my body isn't even that dry (more leaning towards normal). the price is outrageous (around $55 in europe) and the quality just isn't high enough to justify such a purchase

although it has a very silicony feel, i still like it a lot. it smooths any dryness and slightly blurs my large pores. it also helps foundation to stay on longer and go on easier. it's a bit heavy for me in the summer, but it's a life saver during the winter. i've had it for almost 2 years now, and have still not run out of it (granted, i don't use it too often).

on the avene webpage it says that this is designed for dry skin and i would agree. it's not very liquid, but rather thick, perhaps even a bit greasy. however, it removes makeup well and is excellent for the winter because it doesn't dry out the skin, but rather nourishes it so less moisturizer is needed. however, a little does not go a long way. i ran out of it in 6 weeks or so, and i used it once or twice every day

this is by far the best mask for acne-prone skin i've ever used. the combination of clay, BHAs and AHAs makes it very effective. it cleans and unclogs my pores, prevents future breakouts and generally makes my skin look and feel softer and more supple. it's not as gentle as they claim it is because it does sting upon application, but nothing too awful. sometimes i apply it over pimples before bedtime and it makes them heal faster and it speeds up regeneration. the only downside is the small tube. for 20$ you only get 40 ml, and it does not last for ages. if used twice a week, you could run out of it in about 3 months.

a nice cleanser for those with oily skin. it's very gentle, but contains lactic acid so it does fight pimples (nothing miraculous) and doesn't contain soap or alcohol so it's not irritating. i find that it's great for washing my face in the morning, but not in the evening as it has issues with removing makeup. in order to remove everything, i have to wash my face with it twice and massage it in for a very long time. if i'm persistent enough, it does clean my face entirely, but i'm just too lazy to go through that long process every night

a good hydrating cream for those whose skin is not too dehydrated. leaves the skin looking slightly matte (not luminous), but it was a bit light for me in the winter because my skin looses a lot of water due to harsh winds.
