Beauty Product Reviews

Love!

I love this! The formula is perfect. I love how it blends into the skin. It is creamy and has a beautiful look. Not powdery/ chalky at all. It doesn’t accentuate dry/ wrinkly eyelids. Pigment is there and it is buildable. Just love! Must have!

Meh

I got this in my lucky bag and was really excited to try the brand. It is beautiful to look at. The shimmer/glitter shadows seemed to apply more like a topper (nothing like the swatches pictured). I applied over a primer as usual. They were extremely gritty and irritated the crap out of my eyes. I’m disappointed in the quality of this. This doesn’t compare to any of the other brands carried by Beautylish ( such as Natasha, ABH, Charlotte, J*,viseart). I don’t care how things swatch but I could feel the grit with my fingers not just my eyelids. And to top it off, there was glitter fall out all over my face later in the day. Maybe I should try a glitter glue?

Stunning

These are even prettier in person!! Photos do not do them justice! The brushe shapes are great. I am especially enjoying the foundation brush. I like the shape of the eye brush as well. Since I have both of the previous collab sets I can say these brushes hold up exceptionally well and the patterns on the handles look like they did the same day I got them 2-3 yrs ago...so if you are concerned about ruining the handles by using them, don’t be.

New formula utter disappointment

This palette looks beautiful, BUT I am majorly disappointed. Especially since I have the Sunset, Lila, and both 28 palette to compare it with. I was willing to pay this price point for the quality that has been in all the other palettes, but this Tropic is just not worth it. The quality and blendability of the matte shades is still very good. However, the metallic shades (those colors that sucked me into this one- Deep blue and green), are nothing like expected. I finger swatched them and had to go over it 3 times until I got adequate color. I have the same issues applying to my eyes. They feel waxy and stiff. And if anyone wants to say I have to break through a crust layer in order to get pigment payoff, Im going to say that I should most definitely not have to do that for a shadow of this supposed quality and price. All that being said, I am still going to keep it, just disappointed, and I really hope she rethinks her formulation changes. If this was the same quality of her other shadows it would have gotten 5 stars. I plan on trying the metallics wet to see if that makes any difference, BUT I have not had to do that with any of the other metallic shadows because they were Amazing. These are duds in comparison.

Moisturizing

I originally purchased this as something to try for my husband because this winter he has some excessively dry flaky patches of skin on his eyelids and my other creams weren't working. This stuff looks like it's helping. It's also really great for sensitive skin and eyes. It hasn't irritated mine at all. Also, I am noticing a difference in my eyelashes, and they seem thicker and longer so I actually think it's conditioning them as well which is a really great side effect.

Hydrating

When I first put this on I thought for sure it was going to dry out my already chapped lips with the feel of how it went on. But then it dried and it actually felt hydrating on my lips. It also didn't accentuate the cracks on my lips either. This is an awesome matte liquid lipstick, and so far it's the nicest feeling one too out of others I have tried. I really like this color, it's great for everyday wear. I am into more subdued colors so I really wish that Androgeny and Doll Parts would come back. Great product.

Love this stuff!!!!

I didn't understand the hype when I first saw this. I had tried multiple eye makeup removers and most I were not overly happy with. The oily ones left a film, the not oily ones didn't get the makeup off without scrubbing. I got this as a sample with one of my orders and discovered it was Amazing for me. Didn't irritate my sensitive skin, and took off my makeup effortlessly without tugging at the skin around my eyes.

Very Nice ; )

This is my first Anastasia palette. I was lucky enough to receive this in my 2016 Lucky Bag. First impression was that the colors were super pretty and neutral with some pops of color. I can see this being an everyday choice and also good for travel. The shadows themselves are very pigmented and blend-able. I had some fallout with some of the more glittery eye shadows but that is not unusual. The brush is also surprisingly nice (considering I am spoiled using Wayne Goss brushes). It was good for precise application and is dense and blended the shadows very well. I am very happy to have gotten this...

Beautiful!

I received this in my 2016 Lucky Bag and was super excited to try it. It is just as beautiful as the pressed version. Very easy to apply with fingertips and has a beautiful creamy texture.

Creamy

I got this shadow set in my 2015 Lucky Bag and was very impressed with the color and performance of the shadows. Very creamy, pigmented and blend-able. The colors worked perfectly together.
