A new favorite

Although I can dupe this color story many times over in my entirely cool toned collection, I bought this palette for the formulas and I have no regrets. The cream to powder and mattes apply beautifully with my natural hair brushes as the formulas are pigmented but buildable and blend effortlessly. The shimmers, best applied with fingertips, are a mix of smooth, high shine metallics and wet looking sparkly toppers. I always use an eye primer, either Nars Pro-Prime or Hourglass Veil, and other than some minor fallout from the toppers, the shadows last all day with minimal fading or creasing. The color story is more versatile than it appears, with shades ranging from bright white to deep charcoal and navy, as well as iridescent ivory, pale pink, taupe and champagne. Unlike traditional grayscale palettes, I'm able to create many different looks for daytime, night and special occasions and I think it will work for a variety of skintones. This is a beautiful palette and as someone that's vampire pale and can't wear warm tones, this is what I wanted Glam to be. I can't recommend it enough.

Glittery

I like many Charlotte Tilbury products but this was a total flop. The formula was nice and the shade, while more warm than neutral, was light enough, but I couldn't use it because the finish isn't radiant, it's glittery. This was noticeable as I started blending and because it didn't brush away easily, I had to remove everything and start over. I don't understand why a product meant to conceal contains an ingredient that does the exact opposite. I bought this from the CT site when it launched but returned it as the last thing I want is sparkly dark circles and breakouts. Unfortunately, this seems to be a trend as 3 other concealer/correctors I purchased recently, also described as radiant, contained glitter.

Fair skin friendly!

I'm vampire pale with a cool undertone and because I don't tan naturally, finding a bronzer light enough with a neutral or cool undertone is difficult. Thankfully, Viseart created a great option with Noix!

The satin/matte formula has buildable pigmentation that blends easily and never looks patchy or dry. The shade Noix is a light neutral brown color that, when applied with a large fluffy brush, actually looks natural, not like an orange faux tan.

Viseart knows how to formulate powder products and this bronzer is just as great as their amazing eyeshadows and blushes. Highly recommend!

Violet Satine

I bought Violet Satine as soon as it launched here on Beautylish and I absolutely love it. This is the first of the new cream quads to catch my attention and I think I like this formula more than the wet/dry.

The matte shades are pigmented but buildable, blend seamlessly with my natural hair brushes and wear well throughout the day without creasing. The shimmers are beautiful and can be applied with fingertips for a high shine finish or with a brush for a softer look.

I only wear cool tones and purples are a favorite so I know how notoriously difficult they are to formulate but these were done very well. I didn't experience any patchiness or muddy colors when blending and while the mattes are incredibly easy to work with, the shimmer, especially the top right lilac shade, are the standouts.

I can't recommend this quad enough, especially to those looking for true purples that aren't red/pink based and I hope TF makes this permanent.

My favorite palette, now in mini!

Viseart makes my favorite matte formula and I use their Cool Mattes palettes (original now discontinued) more than any other shadows in my completely cool toned collection, so I was thrilled when this was announced.

I bought this palette from Viseart's site the day it launched to use when traveling, which now allows me to leave my full size safely at home instead of carrying it in my purse/carry-on like an overprotective parent. I have however, used a few shadows, just to confirm the formula, and it's exactly the same as my pro version; pigmented but buildable, effortless to blend without becoming muddy or patchy and lasting all day without fading.

The only differences between this and the original is size and cost; the minis in this collection contain half the total product (12 grams vs 24) and are half the price, making them a more affordable option for consumers that are reluctant to pay $80 for the full size.

I can't recommend this, or any Viseart palette, enough and I'm really happy that this mini collection makes the brand's most popular and well loved product line accessible to more people. *Don't be fooled by the small size, this palette contains more product than many others of traditional size, like ABH's 14 pan Soft Glam & Modern Renaissance; 12 grams vs 8.4/9 **Also, Viseart matte shadows can be deceiving as they don't swatch well and feel dry to the touch but the quality when applied is truly fantastic.

Another Viseart gem!

I don't wear warm tones so I had no intention of buying this palette but, after seeing more swatches, changed my mind and I'm so glad I did. Cashmerie is a softer, more elegant take on the fall palette and its neutral leaning cool color story stands out against the typical burnt oranges, reds and jewel pops usually seen at this time of year.

Viseart is known for their high quality shadow formulas and this palette is no different. The mattes are pigmented but buildable and blend effortlessly without becoming muddy; they feel dry to the touch but that lack of slip is what makes them so easy to work with. The metallics, duochromes included, are satiny if applied dry and high shine when a wet brush is used. All of the shadows are long lasting and tapping excess off the brush before application will eliminate fallout.

Cashmerie is the perfect palette for fall but is versatile enough to wear all year. It's the ideal size for travel and the Etendu line has a color story for everyone. I can't recommend this highly enough!

Nice but overpriced

I bought this powder when it was first released as part of the Hummingbird collection and while it does give a somewhat blurred effect to the skin, I don't think the powder itself justifies the $84 cost. It's a baked gelee formula so a natural hair or stiffer synthetic brush is needed to pick up product but the powder is so stiff that it was difficult to pick up product at all, regardless of what natural hair brush I tried. I had to dig into the powder multiple times just to get enough to use as a finishing powder. It did blur my pores and mattify my skin without looking dry or cakey but that effect only lasted about 2 hrs. Another issue I had, which not everyone will, is that the lighter shade is quite yellow on my very fair, cool toned skin. I had such high hopes for this powder, especially as it was so hyped up but I personally think you're paying $84 for the Chantecaille name and beautiful packaging, not a revolutionary pressed powder. I'm sure I'm in the minority but I don't get much use out of mine and won't repurchase.

3.5 stars- nice basic mascara

*My lashes- naturally long but sparse* This is a nice every day mascara that's not too wet or dry, doesn't flake and only leaves a bit of smudging under my eyes, an issue I always have. The brush, plastic with tiny teeth, isn't my favorite type but it doesn't come out of the tube loaded with product so I can add a few layers without my lashes clumping. While it doesn't give the fluttery volume I usually look for, it does give some separated definition, holds a curl and adds a little length. I prefer a waterproof mascara and didn't have any trouble removing it at the end of the day. I do recommend this and will finish it but because it doesn't do anything major for my lashes, I don't think I'd repurchase as $24 is a lot to pay for a very basic mascara.

Sophisticated highlighter

I bought this highlighter on a whim, my first Kjaer Weis purchase, and I love it. The powder itself is creamy and smooth, blends seamlessly into the skin and doesn't emphasize texture. It gives a soft lit from within glow without any glitter or shimmer and never looks like a metallic stripe. The shade Beam is pale pearlescent ivory with a neutral leaning cool undertone that's not too dark or warm for my very fair skintone. The packaging is stunning; a heavy silver metal compact that's also refillable. I'm really happy with this highlighter and have already recommended it to friends. **For reference: I'm 41 with combo dry skin and my best foundation matches are MAC NW10, Estee Lauder DW in 1C0 Shell and YSL All Hours in BR10

Liason's fun older sister

Liason is my all time favorite purple palette so I was thrilled when Violette was announced! While there is some shadow crossover with Liason, Violette stands on its own with a deeper, brighter color story and the addition of duochrome metallics. Purple, especially when cool toned, is a notoriously difficult color to formulate but yet again, Viseart gets it right. The mattes are highly pigmented but buildable and, as always, require little effort when blending. They look on the eye as they do in the pan, don't muddy up and, because they aren't silicone heavy, crease and fade less, even without eye primer. The metallics and duochromes are stunning; intense, high shine and easy to work with although I do recommend applying over glitter glue to reduce fallout. Viseart has shown, yet again, that it is possible to create amazing cool toned purple shadows and I can't recommend this highly enough! **Full disclosure- I received Violette from Viseart for free but I'm under absolutely no obligation to review; I just love it and want to share my thoughts. I probably pestered Anastasia Viseart for another cool toned purple palette so much that she created this and sent it to me just to shut me up :)
