Great for contouring

This brush is just as good as all the other Sonia G brushes (I have collected almost every single one). I feel like the Sonia G brushes are different from all other brushes I have ever tried - somehow they are more functional for me and makes my makeup routine so much easier. Her design just "catches" my preferences I guess. But back to this brush: it blends contour like a dream with its angled brush head. I have a little mini review on my instagram if you want to check it out: nessa3112.

Best brushes I own

When I first took them out of the packaging, I was just blown away by how beautiful they are. The bristles are the softest of the softest - they can absolutely compare to my most expensice Chikuhodo brushes! Moreover, the laquer used on the handles are just so beautiful (not that this is very important, but it adds to the whole experience). The brushes also have a good weight to them when you hold them in your hands - and the length of the handles are just right (at least in my opinion).

Now on to how they perform. I will not write about every brush because then I would sit in front of my laptop all night, but I will write about the brushes that really stood out to me based on my previous issues and experiences:

Base one (the foundation brush): I have always had a problem finding a good foundation brush - actually, I never found one at all. Until this foundation brush came along. I feel like other foundation brushes just moves the product around on the skin without really buffing it in, and in addition to that they always left me with a somewhat streaky result. I kept on trying new foundation brushes, but I always went back to my beautyblender. But THIS BRUSH just blew me away! It applied my foundation just as fast and perfectly as my beautyblender!

Sculpt one (the big fan brush): I never even knew that I had a problem with contouring until I used this brush. Suddenly my contour routine went so much faster than before! And the results became so much better! This brush creates a relatively sharp line, but at the same time it blends out the product very well, so you never end up with too much. If that makes sense. I also found it easier to keep the contour quite high up on the cheek with this brush. With other brushes I often had to clean up my contour because it went too far down. To do this I had to bake under the contour line with a translucent powder, which adds a step to the makeup routine. Now I don´t have to do that anymore, so yay for that!

Builder one (the flat eyeshadow brush): This brush lays down metallic eyeshadows like a dream. Do you have difficult metallic eyeshadows that you always apply with your fingers? No need for that anymore. The results I received with this brush was just as impactful as if I had used my fingers.

I love and cherish all the other brushes as well, but these 3 brushes in particular just changed my makeup routine completely.

Simply beautiful

This brush is beautiful and softer than almost any other brush I own - it can definitely compare to my most expensive Chikuhodo brushes. I use it to powder my face and as a finishing brush. It is especially good to powder under the eyes since that is a more sensitive area.

Because it is made out of gray squirrel and sokoho goat hair, it is incredibly soft to the touch, and because of that it doesn´t pick up too much product, so I don´t think it would be very efficient with for example bronzer or a blush that is not very pigmented. However, it would work beautifully with a very pigmented blush (to sheer it out) or if you just want a wash of color.

Now on to the big question: is it worth the price? And in that case, who is it suitable for? This brush is definitely worth the price if you are a makeup addict or just a brush lover.
