CREAMY ANNA SUI EYE SHADOW 052 METALLIC BLACK

I bought this metallic black cream shadow to use for an eye shadow base. I normally apply a creamy jumbo eye pencil in white, black or brown to the lid & crease area, blending it out. (The ones I currently use are Buxom or Two Faced). They take a few minutes to set. *FYI* - Creamy Turquoise Blue (like the OCC Pool Boy color applied, blended & set on the lid, and then covered with an iridescent orchid shade is Gorgeous.

I began to start the AS swatch on my inner arm & when I removed the square PAN shadow from the box, I was amazed to find one of the smallest, most miniature makeup pans ever! I even chuckled. To give you an idea of the size, if you transferred the shadow to a sample Clinique pot it MIGHT fill the pot approx halfway, if that. I guess I'm used to Inglot, ColorPop, etc.

I posted a picture of the swatch. The 3 lines of the AS cream shadow starts in the mid-center of the picture L-R. First I dipped my brush 3 times and swatched a line. ( I cleaned the brush in between swatches). Next I swiped the brush 2 times and swatched a line.. The last pass was one dip in the shadow. The 3 black lines lightened up a bit. I waited for them to set & dry but they didn't. I read the first ingredients which is Mineral Oi. I knew I would be waiting forever for mineral oil to dry. It even states on the box to discontinue if a rash or irritation should occur avoiding the eye area. Imagine! Next I tapped a slight bit of translucent powder on the Anna Sui black shadow to help set & prep it for the shadows. The Far right picture shows the colors that were applied over the Anna Sui black cream shadow. They weren't too bad. The black pigment did seem to fade a bit.

For the sake of demonstration, I applied the Urban Decay Black All Nighter eye pencil in the shade Perversion. Starting at the Far Left, you can see the pigment pay off and how colors POP using a different pigment base. Final thoughts: I will still pull out Anna Sui's cream shadow but I wasn't impressed with the pan size and price point. It was almost comical to think a company would sell a shadow pan that tiny. 🤔

VEGAN ILLUMINATING SETTING SPRAY THAT IS GLOW IN A BOTTLE!

Shopping online, as we all know is fun! The expectation of waiting for beauty products to arrive is like receiving a beauty haul in the mail. Because my skin is sensitive/combo/dry depending on a new makeup or the weather, I usually exhale & cross my fingers before trying a new product on my skin. I love to spritz my skin for many reasons. Number one is HYDRATION, the second is the aromatherapy (Rose & Coconut). I also use it to tone, prime and set my makeup. I use a couple of products that are organic. Herbivore's Rose Hibiscus, Tatcha's Red Algae facial mist & Caudalie grape infused facial spray (sorta like a wine cooler for the skin🍷💦)! I'm really loving this new Cover/FX "VEGAN" Setting Mist. So far no skin reactions. I seen a review that noted it had too much glitter but honestly all I see is a blinding natural facial glow. It's FREE of parabens, fragrance, gluten, mineral oil, talc & alcohol! I have to be honest, I didn't know it was organic before purchasing, but that makes it much better for those of us who are sensitive to some products! It's advertised as a setting spray but it also boosts your skin's texture & gives it the most luminous glow, similar to the afterglow of a wonderful facial. The bottle contains 4 ounces of product that has shaker beads in it for mixing. It's cool because it dispenses an ultra fine mist, unlike some sprays that dispense uneven splashes of product. I have been using it on my cleansed & toned skin just to get that beautiful luminous skin. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised because COVER/FX is the company that makes the custom enhancer drops you add to your makeup or apply to your skin. The only regret I have is the lack of any aromatherapy factor. It has a slightly (SLIGHTLY) hairspray..(?) smell. But that's only if I open the bottle & smell it. All in All, I'm Happy with this purchase...

A MUST HAVE EYE SET THAT HAS GENUINE VELVETY SOFT HAIRS (CRUELTY FREE)

I first heard of Wayne Goss, Makeup Artist & Entrepreneur via his UTube channel which features makeup tutorials. ThIs is where I first seen his Makeup Brush Line, but I still wanted to research his brushes, so I read customer reviews, talked to retail makeup artists & viewed the tutorial Wayne Goss has on Beautylish. He explains the use of each brush in the Eye Set & how the brushes are made. So, I decided to start with one brush. The FAN BRUSH, appropriate since I am a W.G. Fan & personally obsessed with FAN makeup brushes. It's a soft, handmade brush with genuine, cruelty free hair (Blue Squirrel (?). The brush works great for applying highlighter or brushing away fallout without disturbing makeup. Great so far, SO I decided to purchase the Eye Set Next, which consists of #16-20 (5 brushes). They are AMAZING! I have used them everyday since purchasing. I additionally purchased eye brushes #5, 7, 8. They are designed to upgrade your eye makeup routine, making applying eyeshadows, concealers, liners, etc an effortless application with a soft touch of TLC to your skin. The brushes don't scrape, drag or pull at the skin. Great for aging or dry skin. Of course, Beautylish is THE Number 1 Customer Service Makeup Co that I trust, so I will monitor reviews for which face set I'm purchasing next!!!
