Beauty Product Reviews

Lovely craftsmanship!

The Artist Brush is a really beautiful piece of art but it's not just a pretty face, it's really built to work! Although the handle is carved wood, it's virtually weightless. Like an Old World calligraphy tool, it's built to hold towards the end, far away from the weft allowing for gentler, lighter application which yields the best powder blending. The suuuper soft natural hair fibers and tapered design allow you to use this brush for pretty much any powder step in your makeup routine. I personally love using it for bronzing. It really deposits and sweeps the finest amount of product allowing you to build as much as you want without getting cakey or blotchy. I also love that product doesn't get soaked into the brush. Lastly, we know the brush is costly (duh) but this is a one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted item. It's a collector's brush. You don't absolutely need it. In fact, you could get the same results with other brushes, particularly the WG #00. Those of us who purchased it are most likely fans of WG's tools in general plus enjoy high quality luxury items. I say BRAVO Wayne! This brush is beautiful and I'll treasure mine for years to come.

Ms. Tilbury & her naughty shades!

Walk of Shame has to be my absolute favorite Matte Rev shade. It's the perfect spot of color when you want something subtle but not another nude. It's a gorgeous muted berry that I think is universally flattering. Although matte, the formula is not drying. It's quite creamy and the finish is more of a soft matte. This is a shade all lipstick junkies (like myself) should own. I think it's also perfect for the woman who may be a little lipstick-shy. I actually defer to this shade for meetings and interviews!

Thank You Wayne!!

I'd been eyeing this set for a long time and finally decided to buy it as a Holiday gift to myself. It's been about 6 months using this set and I'm finally ready to use it. I think WG truly kept the mua's needs in mind when he created this set. The softness of the shadow brushes help blend and blur like a dream. Brush 02 is the star of the set! If you've ever felt like you could never get a your contour lines or your blusher blended out nicely, you NEED this brush! It just blurs product across the skin and because of it's precision dome shape the product goes exactly where you need it to. Brush 05 is a dream for those that love a smokey eye but feel like it takes forever to get that kohl liner blended out. This one's great because it's pointed like a liner plus it's soft so you can blend around the eye without all the hazardous tugging & pulling. N. 01 I find is more suited for blending thicker liquid & cream foundations. I have particularly oily skin with large pores so something about this brush really assists with giving me good coverage with minimal product, especially over my pores. Overall, this set just gives me life. I have not a single complaint. I highly recommend the set for beauty lovers and mua's alike. I ♥ WG!

It's Simply Gorgeous!

Just on visual effect this blush is stunning! The imprinted design and color gradation are so lovely it makes you want to avoid using it. If you're someone who enjoys luxury cosmetics then this is a wonderful splurge that won't disappoint. I'm a darker skinned woman so I'm even more impressed by this blush because it wears on my skin beautifully. The texture is a silky, luminous powder that glides so effortlessly on the skin. The blend of shades create a warm peach color. It's deep enough to use as an all-over bronzer or on the cheeks for a healthy flush of color. You can isolate which shades to use but I think it's best to swirl your brush across the entire palette and apply to the skin. That way you get nice transitional color with a bit of glow. It pains me to give this only 4 stars but I do so because there's no real "highlight" effect in this blush. The shimmer is minimal (which I like) and even the lightest shade is still very warm. It's still lovely I just think it's mis-marketed with the "highlighting" claim.
