Beauty Product Reviews

New BFF...?

So, Maybelline has the most amazing mascaras out there in drugstores!! I fell in love with this product, but why only give it 3 1/2 *s? 3 Pros: 1) Holds A Curl!: Yes, this definitely holds a curl!! My lashes are naturally straight & short. It's hard for me to find a mascara that holds a curl & lasts all day. 2) Adds Volume: Definitely adds volume!! 3) Adds Length: It LOOKS like it adds length. Which is a good thing for my lashes.. :D

3 Cons: 1) It clumps a lot, but if you get the Lash Card, you won't really have this problem. 2) The brush is shaped weird & you have to find a way to get used to it. Otherwise, you're going to get mascara on your eyelid. 3) It flakes A LOT!!! I wear contacts & I find particles on my contacts when I take it out at night.

Before I really got into makeup, I never used a primer. Then I went to either Sephora or ULTA & they introduced me to e/s primers. I chose to get UDPP. I love the genie bottle packaging & thought to myself, "Let's see how this works." It worked wonders, but then I yt'd reviews on the product. Then I saw the video on how to get the most out of it. So, I depot'd my UDPP & put it in a sample jar. About 2-3 weeks later when I went to do makeup on my sister, the product was all dried out. The lid was closed tightly & everything, so I was trying to figure out what went wrong. Never found out, of course. Now I swear by my Painterly PP, TFSI or L'Oreal De-crease.

My holy grail lash curler

After years of trying out different lash curlers, I have found my holy grail lash curler. I do like the MAC & Revlon lash curlers, but they pinch my skin sometimes; this one doesn't. I've had it for about 3 yrs already [yes, I change the pad at least 3x/yr]! It's $19 for the curler & $6 for extra pads. That's what knocks down one star.

New FAVE product!!!

So, I got a gift card to Sephora for my bday & totally forgot about it until 2 weeks ago. I've been wanting to try out Anastasia products for a while & thought, "I should just get it now!!" I waited a week after I placed my order & FINALLY got it in the mail! YAY! It was pricey for a brow product, but once I tried it, I knew it was well worth the $38+tax. It came with 2 brow powders: a chocolate brown & a grey-ish brown, a highlighting cream, wax, a brow brush & 5 different stencils. I checked which stencil I match up with the most & it was the High Arch one. On the back of the packaging, it comes with instructions. Simple to use, but if you're going to use any of the stencils, it'll be difficult the first time. My boyfriend LOVED the new "shape" I guess.. He said they looked more natural for me. HA! For having the product for about 2 weeks now, I don't have to use the stencils anymore. Would I recommend others to purchase this?: If you're willing to shell out about $40, then DEFINITELY!! If not, I'd recommend getting the NYC Browser for about $4 at your local drugstore. Will I purchase this again?: I have already for my kit :]
