Beauty Product Reviews

They last a lifetime!!!

I've had these pink slant tweezers by Tweezerman for close to 10 years. I've sent them back to be sharpened many, many times, I love that they provide life time sharpening service....seriously, FOR LIFE! I've purchased tons of tweezers since, but I always go back to using the original. The pink enamel has started chipping away with old age, but they still do the job.

Foundation for a non-foundation user!

I never used foundation before, the closest I got was using LM's Tinted Moisturizer.

That is until I was introduced to Laura Geller's Balance N Brighten baked powder foundation. It comes in 4 shades, but the "regular" which is a pretty standard medium skin tone shade is perfect for me and if I need something a little darker for the summer months I use the Bronze N Brighten. At first I was skeptical, thinking a powder foundation would be terrible for my dry winter skin and wouldn't provide enough coverage as compared to a liquid or cream foundation. I admit I was wrong.

It's a powder, yet once applied, it has a creamy finish and it helps balance out my uneven skin tone like you wouldn't believe. I didn't believe it either until I did a half face side by side test. Seriously amazing stuff, worth checking out if you have complexion issues.

Super Creamy and Foams Like a Dream!

I love creamy, high foaming facial cleansers and Shiseido's purifying cleansing foam comes with the added bonus of exfoliating beads!!! Although there's not enough of the beads to give you a good scrub, it's great for daily use. I use it at night when I need a good wash to get all the makeup and dirt residue that my Shu Uemura cleansing oil might have missed.

It's definitely worth trying if you like creamy foaming cleansers!

Formula is too dry

I really wanted to like this concealer since I was on the hunt for a new one a few months ago. Ordered this from Sephora online, and really wished I had tried it in store first. The formula was really dry and thin and did not provide enough coverage for me (even after layering it up to try and build more coverage), guess my dark circles are just too much for it to handle.

Bobbi Browns corrector was what I was using before and it was good, but I wanted more coverage. I now use Laura Geller's Real Deal concealer. I use a tiny fraction of the amount I used to use of Bobbi's corrector and it gives me amazing coverage and it's hydrating as well as provides great cush. Sometime's the Bobbi Brown corrector would pill depending on what eye cream I used under it...

I've rambled on and on, but the point of this review is Laura Mercier's secret camouflage concealer kit just wasn't right for me. If you're looking for a rich, creamy full coverage concealer, try another brand.

Stocked up on these at the last L'Oreal company sale. Love the Shu Uemura eyelash curler....the 24k gold plating doesn't really make a difference other than it being pretty :)

If i had to pick one thing from my makeup bag that I could not live without, this would be it!!!

A little goes a long way!

I just got the mini version of this concealer and it is hands down my favorite concealer already. Not to mention the mini "travel" version is SUPER CUTE. It doesn't look like a lot of product, but seriously, a little goes a long way. A tiny dot for each under eye area and that's all it takes. The product is creamy and blends like a dream and it will conceal anything. I love it and highly recommend it to anyone else who loves a good concealer!

I think I was a little overly excited when I first started using this product. I was happy because it was a primer that was great as a concealer as well, however as time wore on......this product began to crease.

Now, I don't have the oily skin, but sometimes my eyelids tend to get a tad oily by the end of the day. But if a eye primer claims to "stay put" and "not stray" then maybe it should actually do just that. This is a constant problem I have with most eyelid primers.

Again, Benefit's adorable, retro-chic packaging sucked me in and almost had me until I realized that the formula inside the little pump bottle wasn't as amazing as it claimed to be.

I edited this review and it won't let me change the # of stars but if I could, I'd only give it 2.5 stars.

Small sponge, fantastic results!

I've been using the Sonia Kashuk Beauty Sponge for years, but it finally started to deteriorate and I decided to try out the BeautyBlender sponge.

The shape and size of this sponge made it easier for me to blend my under eye concealer much more efficiently than the SK sponge, which is a lot larger. Add a little water and you can perfectly blend any make up on your face. I bought the set with the cleanser, however I could have just continued to use baby shampoo and it would've worked just as effectively.

This mascara does what it says it will do.

I've been looking for a cheapie alternative to my regular Lancome Definicils WP mascara since I've been on a budget this past year. I'm so happy to have finally found this Maybelline mascara!!! The formula is great, as most L'Oreal mascaras are, but the plastic brush and wiper (that actually wipes the excess mascara off the brush) are what help to separate and define each lash. I don't usually rave about drugstore brand mascaras, I'm kind of a snob when it comes to mascaras but I felt this one really deserved it.

I gave it 4.5 stars because as much as I love the lash by lash definition, I need more volume. I always use a second coat of mascara (Dior Iconic WP) to thicken up my lashes, and it usually does the trick.

Still, a great buy for the price and I can't wait to try the volumizing version!
