Dia De Los Muertos/Day of the Dead

116

I am back with another Dia De Los Muertos look!

I made this look for ones who need a last minute costume
for halloween. I used temporary tattoos, but made it my own by adding color and changing the patterns around.

I used all Sugarpill products, and made the flowers out of hair.

Enjoy!

Amazing work!! Not only because of the bright colors though. The details are perfect!

Hi Angie, I love this look! I am going to do this but I want to know what you put on your face to make it white. Also, did you have trouble putting the tattoos on over the white makeup? I see you also used some other colors on your forehead, nose chin and cheeks. Did you put those colors on after the tattoos or before? What colors did you use or do you have a preference for a line of makeup that you used?

Hi Gina!
I did a similar look last year with the temporary tattoos. I have a tutorial of it in my videos :).

I used foundation that was a shade lighter than my natural skin tone and set it with translucent powder. You can probably find translucent powder at a spirit store for a great price. If not a halloween store.

The tattoos were really easy to apply! The shape that goes around your eyes can be a bit tricky, but other than that it's super easy.

1. Apply your foundation and set it with a powder.

2. Cut out the stencils

3.Work by sections, I did the eyes first. Apply your eyeshadow then your stencil.

4.Add your colors first then your stencils.

5.I would use a wet cotton ball to apply your tattoos. It's big enough to wet the area. (make sure your cotton ball is moist and not super wet so it does not ruin your eyeshadow)

I used all sugarpill eyeshadows...if you can't get your hands on some sugarpill I would recommend NYX cosmetics. You can find them at ULTA..their eyeshadows are long lasting and super pigmented.

As for my foundation I used Urban Decay. Since it is for halloween purposes I would recommend going to your favorite makeup counter and asking for a sample of foundation that is a shade or two lighter than your skin tone. The sample should be more than enough for your look =D

I hope this was helpful!! I would love to see version of this look!
