“Ni is evocative of growing up near an industrial district. There are fond memories of familiar factories where the noise was sometimes so loud that thoughts could not be heard. I played with the scrap pieces of wood nearby—the air was sweet but pleasantly bitter too. From the factory gloom, the bright sky illuminates Tokyo.”
