Holiday Gift Guide: Lipstick Minis!
Published Dec 13, 2013
Confession: I’m a true lipstick hoarder. I have bags and bags of lippies, a lot of which I’ve long forgotten about. And even though I don’t always use all of them, I like having a variety of colors to choose from. Honestly, I think I’ve only finished one tube lipstick in my life (Snob by MAC)—something I’m sure a lot of you can relate to. That’s why I’m all about holiday lip sets full of minis! What could be better, especially for someone like me, who wants every color on the planet, yet can never seem to get through a full-size tube? In each of our picks below, you get multiple colors and finishes, and often, some limited-edition shades for good measure. Exclusiveness is always a major plus in my book!
$32 (five 0.04 oz. tubes)
Five mini lipsticks in a festive red, velvet-like box. The shade names are playful and fitting for the “Serial Kisser” theme (“Menace,” “Provocateur”), and the formulas really moisturize and plump up your lips! [at Sephora]
$98 ($200 value; twenty x 0.07 oz. tubes)
We’re always in awe of BITE’s packaging, but they really outdid themselves with this collector’s set. The luxe box comes with ten mini double-ended lippies (that’s 20 shades!), ranging from neutral to berry to hot pink and red. It’s incredibly chic-looking and the ultimate kit to get any lipstick-crazed person on your list! And these are so ideal for travel—think, you could pack four or six different shades and still take up hardly any space. [at Sephora]
$50 ($78 value; seven tubes; six 0.08 oz., one 0.1 oz.)
We’re big fans of all of Fresh’s cult favorite Sugar Lip Treatments, which is why we can’t get enough of this awesome gift. In a small box, you get seven miniature versions of the perfect-for-everyday, SPF 15 tinted balms including a berry, nude, and rose, plus a new shade called Sugar Cherry. [at Sephora]
$39 ($100 value; ten 0.042 oz. tubes)
We love that this fun bundle of ten mini lipsticks comes in a box adorned with Kat’s original artwork. More importantly, the pigment-rich colors include neutrals, brights, mattes, and “foils”—so there’s something for everyone. We’re partial to Bachelorette, a dark fuchsia that feels so right for holiday parties. [at Sephora]
$34 ($112 value; eight 0.06 oz. tubes)
Any lipstick lover will want to have these eight new limited-edition shades from Tarte. The deluxe size lippies (in between mini and full-size at 0.06 oz.) include four matte formulas (think orangish-neutrals and light pinks) and four regular sheer tints in colors like mauve and red that leave lips with the perfect amount of shine.
