Ghoulish makeup is one thing, but face paint and powder can only get you so far. Insert the usual special effects suspects: latex, foam, and the odd material or two. We've got to hand it to our talented members, these Halloween-ready looks take beauty makeup to a whole new level. Ana's Cirque du UFO is utterly mesmerizing (three cheers for innovation—those are straws over her bald cap) and the violet lash job on Elin's creature beckons from another world. The latter section of our roundup pays tribute to gore, blood, and everything you love/hate about this time of year. Sahily's zipper zombie is so realistic it's almost hard to take in, but the effect is still bloody cool.
