If you're lacking a steady hand for artistic eye liner, makeup artist Phyllis Cohen might have just invented the best thing ever. She’s created Face Lace, stick-on ready-to-wear eye designs that look like you spent an hour in front of the mirror with black liquid liner. It's the coolest new way to decorate your eyes since paper eye lashes, and we're completely obsessed. We first spotted the Venetian masquerade-style embellishment walking down Corrie Nielsen's London catwalk last month. Phyllis was backstage applying the ultra-luxe adhesives onto models in a Tartan plaid pattern running from cheekbone to hairline (last image above). Luckily for us, she's pulling the trend from the runway to reality. The line launches to the public at the end of the month with 15 neo-Gothic, floral, and Baroque eyelaces, masks, and Mehndoodles (Phyllis’ term for a Mendhi-inspired doodle). British beauty blogger Pixiwoo has already successfully showcased just how eye-catching these elaborate eye appliqués can look with a peel and a press, but we can't wait to lace up with these needlework eye liner alternatives ourselves.
Would you sport Face Lace for a costume party or evening out, or is this a look better suited for the catwalk? Sound off below.
