I tried this last night and my skin stated to turn bright red and started burning. I don't know if I did something wrong but I rub the lemon on my face. I had to immediately wash my face. Would love to try again since I have a few scars I want to lighten. Any suggestions would be helpful

It can sting and be uncomfortable if you have sensitive skin or a lot of cuts or scars. Try squeezing the lemon juice into a cup and diluting it with some water, then add honey and mix. You can use it this way, it may be more gentle for your skin. Hope this helps! Also make sure to use good sunscreen, since lemon can make your skin sensitive to the sun.

Thanks. I will try that this weekend. I usually try to stay ou tof the sun as much as possible since I breakout from any sunscreen I use.

Try starting of with just 2-3 times a week and then see how your skin handles it. You can decrease or increase the number of times a week depending on how your skin handles it :-)
