I was only just in labour at this point, but my contractions came within 10 minutes of me getting the drip, the monitor said they were up at 100, but I wasn't really feeling much, just a little discomfort. The midwife asked me if I wanted an epidural because they were looking painful on the monitor, I got through it all without pain relief, it was easy.
